So that the next time you want to sell your flat or someone you know wish to sell their flats can ring up these companies?? I have been receiving plenty of such leaflets in my mailbox every week since I moved into my flat 4 mths ago. Waste papers, kill so many trees
zirhk3355 1 Report post Posted September 2, 2008 Any idea what's the reasons behind them? The underlying purpose of ALL agencies' advertising is to make you call them. Period.

I don't think that is an effective way to advertise...they ruin the environment!!! I have throw away tonnes of this sort of papers...

yokine9a 1 Report post Posted September 9, 2008 I do also have been receiving leaflets saying that they are the owners looking for flats in my area. Some of them even stated "no agent pls" on their leaflets. Don't know that the demand for TPY is so good meh. Why won't they simply look up on weekend newspapers for property adv if keen to buy a flat? Or do they just want to avoid the agent fee & hope to deal with seller directly? GMC 12 Report post Posted September 9, 2008 Any idea what's the reasons behind them? agts say collect eggs into their baskets. Try calling them asking them in detail, if the very first reply is "I come over to see and talk to you how to market your unit", then you can safely hang up. Topspin 1 Report post Posted October 20, 2008 (edited) Not all that is written on flyes are untrue, some are really written by an individual if that particular block is what a buyer is looking for. I know because I have done that!! I did cleary state in my flyer that I am NOT an agent. Due to the popularity of that block, unfortunately, I did not get much response. (by the way it is no fun pushing papers into hundreds of letter box with eyes starring at you thinking that you are paid to do so) Some units are being sold without having it advertised in the paper. A personal flyer would reach out to such sellers and fence sitters I suppose. Edited October 20, 2008 by Topspin
blueturtle 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2008 yah... those leaflets are really irritating. i closed the front flaps on my letterbox so that they have no way to put these leaflets into my letterbox. but ****... the stuff it at my door! so every night i get home, i see at least 2 such leaflets, printed, handwritten whatever trapped at my door. still thinking of a way to overcome this. even considered hanging a note on my door to ask these people to get lost. haha...
