rrjan 0 Report post Posted May 20, 2009 haha, yep, pinkpetter, you've got to be his favourite. Uncle said you recommended him a lot of customers. Btw, could anyone kindly advise where I could purchase some of those industrial plastic sheets or corrugated cardboard? Wanted to buy some to line my parquet and granite flooring and also the furnitures so that they would not have any paint splattering on them while the workers are painting . Appreciate any kind recommendations.

pinkpetter 0 Report post Posted May 20, 2009 .. ah? I got two rolls from Uncle that time. But if you wish to purchase your own... just go to any paint shop ... should cost about 40++ dollars each. I don't know Bukit Panjang well so can't direct you to a specific shop. This is indeed a good place to make friends.

pinkpetter 0 Report post Posted May 20, 2009 huh. then I think you better not take the risk. $40 is a worthwhile investment in protecting your floors... Uncle gave me cos my mom and dad (the thicker skinned people of my household) asked him for it cos they wanted to lay on the floor while we were moving... You can try asking him... but he'll probably have to be the one to bring it to your place... does your place have any furniture at the moment?

rrjan 0 Report post Posted May 20, 2009 WAH Janice! You all are brave! isn't it dirty and grimey?? yes, when the aircon guys came over to my place last Thursday to strip the old aircon trunkings and lay the new trunkings etc...(they worked from 10am to 11.30pm), I almost fainted from all the dust and dirt and debris from their drilling. Took me 2 whole days to change all curtains and bedlinens and throughly clean up the place. And now, the painting guys are going to come on Saturday, don't know what to expect, cos first time repainting the place since we moved in 12 years ago. I really have to applaud your bravery... I feel like fainting just thinking about it... and I think I'm the paranoid sort... no matter how much we clean I'll still think it's dirty and I'll get itchy. Painting isn't as dirty but you really have to put up with the smell. and you need to shift your furniture around a little... mm I suggest getting the plastic (rather than the cardboard) so that you can cover your beds and not have to go through the hassle of washing the sheets again... cardboard also quite dirty right? The same shop that preciousjam is saying... should also have the plastic... they usually will sell both types... Edited May 20, 2009 by pinkpetter
gaku70 0 Report post Posted May 21, 2009 OH OH ya I think I had Christmas moss. Anyway Gaku, it's Angel who wants some recommendations on plants.. any big nice ones for the background? Pet: Sorry abit blurr, quite stress this few days. Christmas moss is very good for fries to hide. Angel: I prefer plants that are easy to maintain. So usually I go for moss or other floating plants. If you like to have forested landscape, you will need CO2 supplementation and fertilization. I find it very troublesome. What I do usually is to spread the moss on driftwoods or you can put on mesh vertically for background. By the way, you are talking about aquatic plants right?
