pinkpetter 0 Report post Posted December 28, 2008 I think maybe you'd just do one wall of your room in a dark solid colour as the bedhead feature wall if you're willing to play around with the possibilities. You could consider doing fat horizontal stripes in 2-tone colours to elongate the width of the wall. Stripes are classic and won't be dated esp with the retro & vintage trend now. Gothic wouldn't suit with stripes as it is a medieval theme actually. No stripes for me but I'll definitely think about the dark solid colour. Maybe in a few months time when I'm suitably bored of my room. For now I shall get my artwork ready to be put up. Congrat, Pinkpetter finally can move in le. think furnishing wif curtain/blinds will hv even different effect. shall wait for ur pictures Thanks rdnest!!! I think so too and I'm really excited to see everything come in!

You'll be very happy when you're home. Final pictures for today. I love my door and grille. *sigh* but as the workers were painting late into yesterday they closed the door when the paint wasn't fully dry. I couldn't open the door this morning and had to pull with all my body weight. Touching up needs to be done now. sigh. Ikea made its deliveries today. Tomorrow, furniture will be in! *most of it anyway* Our kitchen. The top will only be installed on Wednesday. The men from JImmy Textiles came today. One was quite handsome le. hahahahah MBR My room. Bro's room Blinds my sis chose. I forgot to take her room picture. THE FIRST OCCUPANT OF THE HOUSE!!!! She gets to live there first cos we're afraid that all the hassle and bustle tomorrow will scare her or even be dangerous for her. So I brought her there and settled her for the night!! This will be the last post I make from my old house. I've lived in this area for 15 years... (counted just now) and will really miss it here. Sigh. Anyway I'll be offline for 5 days... cos Starhub is only coming to settle the thing on Friday. Urgh. See ya!!! People who want Ah Soon's contact, please be patient ok? pinkpetter 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2009 Woohoo! U r back! Looking fwd to the completed house pics. hehe no real completed home photos yet... Will take some in a bit. We moved in on 29th Dec and the furniture came in on the same day. We spent 29th and 30th packing... then on the 31st... the contractor's men came to rectify items.. it was horrible. Cleaning of windows and frames.. 4 men squashed in our tiny toilet discussing... Finally our rubbish chute cover is installed. Sister cutting the string curtain for her room... I haven't put up my own.
pinkpetter 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2009 It was really horrible cos we had to look after our furniture and worry about all the tiles and stuff. And there were at least 6-7 men working in the house. One thing I was very very happy with was that my sister brought back a lot of stuff from Ikea and my contractor helped to fix all! The packing that still remains. But we're already 80% done... A sneak into how it looks like.. a mess.
Jupiter Home 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2009 How much did you pay for the string curtain?
