pinkpetter 0 Report post Posted December 27, 2008 For those who are shopping for WC and Basins **Jojo Saga** THE CALL The Delivery Part 1 The Delivery Part 2 The Finale So fast moving in liao.. Ur cabinet nice nice !! Mine haven fix yet.. Ur contracter power man.. Ya I saw your blog. It took the men about one day to fix up everything. They were slightly delayed as the plumbers hadn't done the kitchen plumbing when they arrived otherwise they would have been faster. So I think your carpentry can go up in 2 days as you have more. haha My contractor is hassled by us every day...
pinkpetter 0 Report post Posted December 27, 2008 Yesterday my house was still in a MAJOR mess.. with things all over, walls unpainted, things uninstalled. In fact, this morning when my parents went it was STILL A MESS with cardboard all over, doors on the floor waiting to be installed and painted... But just now at 6pm when I went... I it. The new white grilles greeted me first and I got really excited... Then I saw... The nice new white door. One of my favourite lights in the house... the one for the foyer. Stepping in, I saw the worker still polishing the floor... The living room, polished. It's much brighter but I don't know why it doesn't turn out that way on my cammie.. The side with the rooms and the little shelf acting as an altar. My bro's red red room. My room (which is darker than the rest because I wanted a warmer light) Sister's room right at the back. MBR Storeroom with FOC shelving from contractor MBR toilet. I couldn't take photos of the common toilet and kitchen as the workers were all resting there since they couldn't sit around on the polished floor. There were 6 people there even after 7. I was so grateful that they really try to rush. Today is exactly one month from the day we got our keys. Tomorrow we're moving the Guanyin into the house. The blinds will be installed and Ikea will make its deliveries. Monday, it's MOVING DAY!

Once most of your things have been decided like tiles and laminates the rest should be quite fast. I'm looking forward to YOUR reno completing!!
BunBun 5 Report post Posted December 27, 2008 Your bro's room is the most fiery looking but I think maybe a more vivid shade of red would be a real killer than the maroon shade of red. I initially had the impression that your room would be in dark solid colour to offset the light you got. Somehow the colour doesn't show the effect of the light to the max. But overall the renovation looks good.

It looks yellowish now thanks to the light but it's white like the rest of the house. I decided that the items in it will help to bring it mroe colour. As for my bro, my cammie really doesn't do his room justice. I can just stand and gawk at his room whenever I go there. wow! fruition of a labour of love. very excited for you, moving in in a couple more days do show us the pix of the moved-in state Thanks asianms!! haha I'll try provided it isn't too messy!! Yeh! happy for u tat ur house reno is finally completed keke btw im the 'master' of our (haven @ the roundabout) jus gotten a new nick to avoid confusion Hihi! Yes yes that's a good move! BunBun 5 Report post Posted December 27, 2008 I think maybe you'd just do one wall of your room in a dark solid colour as the bedhead feature wall if you're willing to play around with the possibilities. You could consider doing fat horizontal stripes in 2-tone colours to elongate the width of the wall. Stripes are classic and won't be dated esp with the retro & vintage trend now. Gothic wouldn't suit with stripes as it is a medieval theme actually. keke thanks BunBun. I did have the intention of having a solid colour but after much thought I decided to keep to white.
