wahh all so fast...nw u make me feel like my reno takes so long

Sighhh :bangwall: Just when Say fast... the stupid delivery people make us slow down.

Today the sand and missing tiles came early in the morning and the worker moved them upstairs.I finally managed to ask why the kitchen was not completely laid. the Head tiler say that cos some of the tiles sent weren't good, so he sent them back. Today they finally sent the kitchen tiles, the two missing red tiles for the common toilet and the 2 missing floor tiles for the MBR toilet.

The electricians came early and started to do the wiring before 10.... after which they have to wait until the painting and skirting is done before they put up the switches and lights for us.

Then the headache thing came.

My sanitary fittings from Eestilo suppose to arrive at 11am.

Hob and sink from Viva (the woman who SCOLDED me) was suppose to come between 12 to 1.

Then the curtain people at 12.30pm.

11.40am No sign of the Eestilo people still. I gave the company a call and they said they will contact the driver and call me back.

12pm. No sign of Eestilo people and no call back. So I called them again.

12.10pm. They finally got the delivery man... WHOSE vehicle BROKE DOWN! :bangwall: So suay! *don't know whether it is true or not but I'll give them the benefit of doubt*

At this point I decided to call Viva too, in case something cropped up..

YOU KNOW WHAT? the girl dare to tell me.. oh they don't have stock for the hob in the factory yet. It will arrive in the factory at 1pm. So they can only deliver to me at 2pm. !!!!! But when I called three days ago to fix delivery they didn't say ANYTHING?! urgh.

Anyway I re-scheduled BOTH to tomorrow morning. I'll call them this evening to bug them and remind them to send. haiz.

Only the curtain people from Jimmy Textiles were very very punctual. :good: On top of that... they worked with my dad to take the measurements based on his Fengshui Ruler. Very patient. *phew*

Wah your contractor very good leh...

:) Thankfully. After seeing some of the experiences here including your own, I was very worried at first. But I'm glad things have turned out ok.

AND I'm glad Henry is willing to take over and make things right for you. :)

Really? Good good. the people are on time, called me the day before to confirm timing and are professional. hehe

These people... 8| No customer service at all. Heng u on block leave.. If not have to take leave again to wait for these people again.

Reading your reno blog makes me wanna be so involved, going on site and all.. but I can't. FSM said preggy woman cannot be there until the move in procedure is over. :(

So now Hubby is tasked to take pics, do daily or once-every-other-day visit and I'm doing the coordination work.

We share the same ID in this forum anyway. :)

Hi figo.... wah... this is tough to explain. Ok. My contractor included changing/relocation pts in his quotation. Which means.. if I relocate the point to anywhere on the same wall,there is no charge for labour and only charge for the cover ($3-$15) depending what cover it is. This will also include changing of covers with point at the same spot.

As for Brand new points... I have very few. Verbally, his quote to me was between $10 - $30 for labour.

Sorry I'm not much help....

Yes yes please do not go. It is NOT good for you to be exposed to all the noise, dust and all. I itch ALL the time when I get home.. :) Take care ok? hehe not good for Baby to hear all the banging and drilling. :)

I went last day, very late. I opt for Washing Machine, 9kg, diamond drum coz we need one. We'll get home theatre next time although I heard it's worth around $600+. Think the HT quite good quality one. Think can choose either HT, Fridge, WM, $300 Cash Voucher. So choose WM.

from de price u paid i see it could be de 610 series instead? bought from courts rite? cos according to wat i saw when i was there on de last day, courts is bundling only 610 with de xbox.

well, but if it's really 650, den i dunno how come i din c this deal! :bangwall:

I think then should be 610..... haha... both look so similar... Think the difference is the colour I think, red or black. So Blur of me... coz both series 6... heehee.... Anyway, many freebies very happy la... Anyway, Courts having the Megatex tomorrow til xmas, will probably go down and have a look to see what other offers they have. Now searching for oven and fridge...

oooooooo ok. hahaha Aiyah I read your msg too quickly. Now that I read it again it makes more sense. haha I went to your T blog and realised that you have 3D drawings... which my contractor didn't give. I'm so blur. :)

keke. cos ur free gift is cat c one, which makes it 610 series. wheras 650 series is gettting cat d free gift.

btw, de diff btw de 2 is, 650 comes with a built-in hd tuner, wheras 610 doesn't. so if wan full hd settings, u need to get an external hd tuner box.

but 610 is really very worth it at that price =)

Delivery Saga from Yesterday

Eestilo de Vida's people came. They delivered everything. Everything was numbered according to the invoice so it was pretty easy to ensure everything was here. The delivery man was also very friendly and allowed us to open everything and inspect.

But one of the two Baron WC had some paint problems on its cover. We called Eestilo and they were nice enough to allow us to withhold some of the money. We made partial payment to the delivery man and the staff would arrange for the Baron people to come down and change the cover for us, after which I will make the rest of the payment to the office itself. Pretty reasonable I'd say...

The problem came with Viva Nueva (THAT JOJO INCIDENT ... NOW PART 2) :furious:

The kitchen sink we ordered from them did not have a hole for the kitchen tap.

BUT the one in the showroom had. So when we ordered we assumed that there would be a hole.

The delivery man was very good. Though reluctant, but he immediately offered to bring the sink back to drill. But I was thinking about the payment part, as I didn't want to pay in full when I have not received everything.

So I called the showroom and Jojo picked up *AGAIN* :furious:

I explained to her that we expected a hole as the showroom one had.

Her response: OH. All sinks don't come with holes one what. If you want then we drill for you.. You must tell us.

Since we aren't professionals at buying sinks and DON'T BUY sinks EVERY WEEK.... how would we know that sinks don't come with holes?!!!

With that in mind, I told her that we wanted the hole.

Her response: You have a contractor right?? Then you ask him to drill la.

I TOLD HER OFF STRAIGHT AWAY: THEN IF SPOIL WHO PAY?!

She was quiet for 5 seconds.

Then she responded: BUT YOU MUST TELL US WHAT.... Some customer want to undermount some want to put on counter so we don't drill unless you ask us to.

I refused to respond to that statement and told her that we've already asked the delivery man to bring it back and that he agreed.

I then added that I can only pay a portion as I only accepted the hob.

Jojo : "CANNOT CANNOT.. YOU WAIT YOU WAIT.. What is your invoice number?? You tell me I see..."

Me: "31XXX"

Jojo: "I SEE AH... HOW MUCH IS YOUR HOB??? YOU PAY LA... err I see ah..."

Jojo: "YA err you still owe us $387... liddat you pay half la. Err $200 also can.. $187 also can."

ISN'T THAT WHAT I SAID TO HER IN THE FIRST PLACE??????? THEN WHY SHE CANNOT CANNOT SO LOUDLY?! :curse::curse::curse:

WAH LIAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I really regret buying from her. PEK CHEKKKKK :furious:
