Lots of Ikea related ideas there. you can get those flower decals from Ikea. $39 i think. for one set of three.

My fren's brother did up his entire house using IKEA stuff. Looks quite cool and he saved quite a bit of money cos I think the most costly part of reno is all the carpentry works.

However, I was forewarned that IKEA stuff dun really last very long cos the quality is not really there. But that's always an excuse to buy new furnitire later!

Oh by the way, have you bought all your tiles? I went to this tile shop near Toh Guan for my floor tiles. The cream one that you were looking at I think can get for less than $2.50.

Got a few quotations liao... some contractors from friends' recommendations some from the forummers here. Walked into one's office ytd and found him quite nice. But so far all off our budget. Back to the drawing board for us.

FYI We're doing the designing ourselves wor so that can save money haha

We diyed some stuff too, cost for labour can add up to quite a lot.

Wah last three weeks has been **** for me. FIrst was my sister's wedding part 1 then my assignment week then my sister's wedding part 2. Now FINALLY am back to do more research.

Yesterday met up with a contractor whom I think is the best so far cos I told him my tiny budget and he still carefully look at my items for me and gave me proper advice. So highly likely will take him ba. But will wait for everyone (in the family) to give the nod then decide. whoohoo! will try to draw up the new plans and show show in a bit ba. mmm

Hack all existing floor tiles in living, balcony and bedrooms

Hack off 2 existing toilet bowls and sinks

Hack 6ft full height wall between balcony and living

Wah... initially our budget was $10k. But seems very un-doable.... lol willing to stretch la but not stretch very much more. cos still need to buy things. cannot anyhow spend. Cos we don't want to take up loans to reno.
