well i stay very near mrt track and it can be quite noisy when the train go past ..when we just moved it it was unbearable..but after a while u get used to it ...

u can even gauge the timing ..

good as an alarm clock in the initial months but after a while u just sleep thru it..hehe

normal scheduled train is not the killer here, wait till you get one of those repair train that comes along in some un-godly hours and grind the metal track.........can drive you up the wall and break any sleep.

NEA does not care or they will entertain you for a few emails and then they will come back and claim that they are within allowable limit set by the government.

Either you move away, live it it or shut the windows at all times. Not much of a choice actually.

Its not so much whether you are or not irritated by it, but just a matter of time to get used to it.

I stayed near the railway tracks previously, every morning can hear the KTM 'choo-choo' train at 6am sharp. After awhile, you don't even notice it.

Today, the mrt tracks run just next to my block; although I am on #34, the noise is still very clear. But same thing, I got used to it and don't even realise the noise...

Stay near mrt complain noisy, stay too far from mrt complain transport not convenient.

Will get used to it.

i always staying pretty near the RTM railway track.. now even nearer.. just 1 main street away.. all the noise, railway track, main road, and LRT trains.. getting used to it now.. this is the price to pay if want to stay near highly accessible place.
