IM BUYING A NEW HOUSE...AND I LIVE WITH MY BOYFRIENDS..IM NOT WERKING SO CONSIDER ALL INCOME FROM MY BOYFRIEND....CAN HE TAKE A RENOVATION LOAN TO RENOVATE MY HOUSE USING HES INCOME OF 2000 PER MTH ?

haha maybe a lot mah! imagine 5 of them 2K each is 10K !

But seriously, earning 2K a month doesn't leave much for reno.. considering basic necessities and she's not working?

IT also depends on the loan amount.

Can try Hitachi Credit or worst secenario, GE money or take a loan from ready credit.

Hitachi credit I believe require a guarantor.

There is various bank offering home renovations loan, but please take note of the interest rate.

Ya RHB seems like a good choice you can look for the thread on that..

but at 2k your maximum amt for borrowing is 12k. 6X of the monthly salary...

facing the reality...with only 2k for two mouth to feed, and utilities....how much left over for loan repayment...i think the bank also can count lah....they can loan..but maybe small amount...or none..

how much can u pay them per month..plus interest...and thats only reno cost...how about furnishing..presuming u got saving lah....

Hi Rossa, the best advise is here...

1) Appoint a contractor, get the contract wif ur BF's neccessary papers to ur desire bank.

Just tell him go n apply, the bank consultant will definately assist u wif tis... The result will be known then...

2) U may try to visit those big local reno firms which allows reno installment plan by them...

See wad they can do for u...

(U need to do ur own accounting well b4 doing any commitments in loan...)
