Our First Home - First Renovations

Recommended Posts

Hubby and I got our keys back in Feb 2007, one month after our wedding.

Home

Jurong West St 42

5A unit 133sqm

We had initially wanted to renovate our Kitchen and common toilet but the plans was put aside when I found out that I was pregnant in May.

Now our Princess is already 7months and Our renovations are on the way.

We had consulted several IDs

1) Innerview @ IMM - Package price beyond our budget

2) Ideal reno @ Up Bukit Timah - Mid pricing but charges quite high for hacking

3) Line Living @ Imm - Came to view our hm but did not quote despite sms reminders

4) Roslan Renovation @ Geylang - Didnt bother to serve us to quote independently - **** Disappointed

5) Home Way Design @ Geylang - Wanted to confirm but quotation was slightly above our budget

6) Multi-Building Interior Renovation thru Straits Times - Our last attempt. Hubby wanted to find contractor as he can design through software himself.

Choice - Multi-building Interior Renovations - Sincere, chatty contractor in his mid 40s. Acceptable prices

with great design input coming from a contractor.

Photos of work in progress coming up with further details

Kitchen wall tiles was designed by the contractor albert to be placed staggered...

Will post pics of my parent's hm too - feature wall and PLC light done by my contractor 4days ago concurrently with my renovations. Mum stays 1 block away from me

that's a great view from your balcony.... ideal coffee corner

exactly our intentions but it will be with tatami mats on the parquet and probably a tv console with a 32" LCD but not wall mounted as its quite a heartache to drill the new tiles. haha.

sidetrack abit.. Our 7mths old daughter on her palm seat which we just bought but currently stored at my parent's hm
