I use Joven, its almost like instant heater, fast heat up. I used to have instant heater, within 3 years need to change 2 times. 707 was the second set i bought, within the 3 mths, the push button came off, although under warranty, but they came and just glued the stick connecting to the button, and it came off within one month. And they said that that is not guaranteed, bad product support..

i think the possiblity of encountering this problm is common if the parts are made of plastic. my mum have one 707 that she uses for 15 years and finally the plastic knob gave way and there are no spare parts so she has to change hers.

she has two 707 which the other one is still working fine.

Hi, which model do you use? Any problem after 2 months of usage?

Do you know if there is any difference between vertical models (JVA) and horizontal models (JH), in term of how fast the water gets heated up?

Beware of this Rega118. I have one installed but its very dubious.

1. Rega claims to be from UK but I cannot find it in google in UK.. strange... was it REGAL that we use to have see

2. The copper heater element is life time but you have to pay $35 for transportation even if its under warranty...

3. The parts that connect the inlet and outlet are very flimsy and it will crack even with the slightest pull from the shower hose so be very carefull if you own it.

So be really careful when you purchase this brand and this model. They need to improve on the parts reliability. It can be a very good heater if these problem are solved.

I have another form Technogas, it has a external pipe at the outlet. This will solve the broken water outlet valve problem... its also a good investment...

Hi, I am intending to buy 2 sets of the Rega 118, and am being offered $200+ for each set. Heard it is a rather good brand, though locally assembled. But new house buyers....so need to budget alot of things for reno and purchases. So possible to let me know where you purchased yours?

i walked past this shop "prestige lights & fan specialist" at jln besar yesterday evening

& enquired about 707 water heater.

e saleslady told me 707 water heater is made in msia & e parts are not as gd as before, with a lifespan of about

3 to 4 yrs. she introduced me to a japan brand called viva 300 for ard same price ($160) & showed me the inner

component saying it's made of copper & won't spoil so fast like those made of plastic, it's also an anti scald model.

when wifey asked about those older models of 707, she said they don't have any more of those, spare parts hard to get.

can anyone comment on 707 water heaters if there's any truth in this?? if true, what's the nxt best brand to use?

Anyone know what is the Joven 25L model number with new energy saving ? I do not want end up paying for less efficient model....

From Joven website, the vertical model seem to be more energy efficient as compared to horizontal model with different temp setting. Correct ?

Joven Vertical model has a control knob which allows temperature setting from 'OFF' to 70°C (Low-Medium-High). Under normal operation the thermostat cuts out at the set temperature - Low (about 40°C), Medium (about 55°C), High (about 70°C). When the hot water consumption is not in large volume, setting at Medium will minimise electrical consumption.

The horizontal model has a built-in thermostat which is pre-set at 70°C to provide maximum hot water, ready for immediate use.

why does a vertical storage heater consume less electricity? logically if volume is the same, you should use same elctricity

I bought the Bennington C600 multipoint heater.. advantages of a storage tank heater without the tank+the speed of an electric heater without the cost.
