samuel333 0 Report post Posted August 15, 2012 The shipping cost is very cheap, so order 3 in separate transaction to avoid GST.I've been using Samsung Ezon for the past 3 years, also bought from eBay as well. Installed by myself and no problem at all. This relatively cheap product, I don't think warranty is necessary. Just buy a new one if spoiltWow! You must have equipped with all the handy equipment. Think it's kinda challenging to self install. However, I am more afraid that if done wrongly, it might spoil the lock.

Think it's kinda challenging to self install. However, I am more afraid that if done wrongly, it might spoil the lock.I don't think it's quite necessary to have all handy equipment. Can use back the hole from the old lock. I did mine using a screwdriver and those screw provided only.If you didn't align it properly, it won't spoil the lock. Only it won't lock. However if you want to buy those with handle then it would be more challenging cos it requires 2 precise holes on the door.So my suggestion if you want to DIY, buy the lock only and use existing handle. Yale digital ones i saw range from $500 to $1388. how much are yours? For normal yale single grip lock with installation will cost $250. However, the size of the new lock set will not 100% cover after the replacement due to the difference in sizeYou may consider to change to digital lock to experience keyless entry. The YDR 1212 cost $588 with installation and replace your existing lockhttp://mydigitallock.com.sg/yale-ydr-1212-digital-lock-replace-single-grip-lock-for-hdb-perfectly/ Edited September 21, 2012 by mydigitallock

Since electronic ie wires short-circuit etc if doesn't work how?3. What if no battery?4. Post sales support stability? All the Samsung, Yale or gateman digital locks operates by AA batteries. If the battery runs out, you may use the key to overwrite the system or use a 9v battery to chargeFor locks that is warranty by the local distributor, it comes along with the warranty card and after sales service provide by the dealerA fingerprint lock would be ideal
