aves 0 Report post Posted July 4, 2008 As I have a limited budget, I will not be engaging any FSM to do FS for my new house. However, since there is a free service provided by Mr Chong in this forum, I would like to loan or buy a compass to do some readings myself so I can post and ask for advice. Anyone has a used compass to loan or sell to me? Or anyone knows where I can get a decent but cheap compass? I live in the east side so preferably somewhere near. Advice appreciated. aves 0 Report post Posted July 9, 2008 (edited) I got my compass from Daiso $2 but i not very sure how to take the compass reading. Anyone can help? i went to simei last night and got a compass for $12.75 from popular... after that i found out that there is a booth at east point 2nd floor selling microscopes, magnifying glasses etc there. They sell compass there for much cheaper like $4 or $6 but im not sure of the quality tho. just for those who are interested in getting compass how to take compass reading. however, his compass has a dial to twist the NSEW to the alignment, for ours, i need to turn the compass to the right direction, then from there, just see the reading of where i am facing.... http://www.fengshuitips.co.uk/how_to_take_...ass_reading.htm Edited July 9, 2008 by aves

twolambs 0 Report post Posted December 16, 2008 i don't think it is so easy to just buy a compass, buy a fengshui book and perform DIY fengshui for your home. Cos the book is dead, and fengshui is very much alive. The books often give you a simple example but when you look at your own house, you cant find it in the book. So only a seasoned FSM will know how to apply the fengshui concepts to analyse the fengshui of your house, according to your layout. Just my 2 cents' worth
