Agent's Role During And After 1st Hdb Appointment?

Recommended Posts

I am a buyer and my agent has arranged for 1st HDB appointment next month. I do not need any loan thus there is not much the agent needs to do during now till 1st appointment.

Any idea what is agent's role during 1st appointment interview in HDB?

And after the first appointment, what other things I need the agent to do?

And do I need the agent during the second appointment?

The reason I ask is I would like to reduce seeing my agent as much as possible.

Thanks.... but pls help

Well, basically the agent's role is to ensure that all necessary paperwork from both seller and buyer are in order and presented to HDB officer during 1st app. If the service of an agent is used in a flat transaction, the HDB officer will want he/she to be presented during the 1st app.

After the 1st app, you need to arrange with your agent to view the unit, before you take over it during 2nd app, after the seller has moved out. This is what we called "final inspection".

2nd app is abt the same as 1st app, paperwork again, to ensure the change of ownership is successful and all outstanding bills are settled.

That's all I can remember. You won't see your agent after this deal is over, just bear with him/her for a few more times lah.
