now everything oso went up leh.. but urs is not exactly minor work leh.. but some items can be cheaper. based on your work i believe the range will be around $20k oso..

This is for a size of 4 room flat...basically i'm just hacking and redoing the 2 bathrooms...1 feature wall n tv console for living room...repainting the hall and MBR...1 feature wall for dining and 1 headstand / feature wall for MBR...not touching anything else...u mean all these require 25k?

but generally 25k looks slightly premium.

speak to another 1 or 2 to get some price comparison.

it's the stuffs that you wanted that cost so much.

1) so many feature walls here/there with glass/mirrors of cos it will cost so much. carpentry is a lot of money already + the glass and mirrors, if they are huge cost lagi more.

2) toilets with temper glass here/there...etc already 3X at master toilet alone. thats already $2k

i think this quotation is not chopping carrots at all.

btw redo 1 simple toilet is 3K. your mbr toilet GLASS alone already 2k

Not entirely out of the reakms of possibility, Average cost to re-d 2 toilets + kitchen for 4RM flat is abt 16K.Fair bit of carpentary there. Whole hse painting is abt 1.2K.

Look around and get more quotes for comparison.

Its like who can get the cheapest and best deal around. lol..

Personally i think that as long as the person is responsible, its ok to let people earn some money..

-laminate whole house (tink cheapo kind,coz when i walk..i feel like walking on plastic sheet)

-do up 2 toilets

-airconx3

-do up kitchen with cabinets etc ( which i find very ugly)

-painting..i tink.

dats about it..no wonder reno so fast..less than 2weeks finish liao.i wanna tell him he kena con..but dont wanna hurt his feelings..i juz tiam tiam..

Looks ok to me too. Seems like you are having a bathroom overhaul. The cost is reasonable. Suggestion to cut budget is perhaps on the bed head with 2 side tables @ $2300. We had that intension actually but decided to buy it off the rack better. Cheaper too. Think about it. Another point...false ceiling in the bathroom? Designer bathroom it seems Agree too that your feature walls are the other heavy cost items.
