ZondaR 0 Report post Posted July 11, 2011 (edited) jerry why so difficult THOSE who always complaint sofa not good ,tell them buy stone sofa la . your F.C HOMES CAN TRY TO PRODUCE STONE SOFA MA ???? SO NOT SO EASY SPOIL MA RITE ?????I think people generally have every right to voice their complaints. If they spent several thousands on just a sofa, the quality should be reasonable. Seriously, I don't think any sofa of a reasonable quality should peel after just a few years. I hope Furniture Club can explain to forumers. Recently, I bought a Fisher & Paykel Dryer. It was heavily discounted. Yet, the service team came down within 24 hours and changed the control panels without any charge. Although I am puzzled by why it broke down within 6 months, I am also satisfied with the service standards. Edited July 11, 2011 by ZondaR

Alot of furniture exhibitors were selling full leather sofas for less than S$1K. Apparently, another shop told me they were infact selling bonded leather, which is much cheaper type of recycled leather.I am really wondering if there are any way at all to differentiate real leather from fake leather... any experts out there? ZondaR 0 Report post Posted September 7, 2011 This is not easy for the average consumer. People in the furniture trade can probably identify it will some effort.I honestly feel that the Furniture association, or CASE or whatever association should do something about this. Otherwise, consumers will suffer. I would not consider this anything less than cheating, and it is a criminal offence.

fatz 0 Report post Posted September 16, 2011 (edited) But how to deal w it... apparently alot shop are doing this.... We consumer cant do anything...Not true.....end consumers can always don't buy this brand....that's the idea of this forum....to exchange ideas and feedback. Unfortunaltey there are also peeps here with dubious intent. Anyways since we r a society with "caveat emptor" firmly enthrenced. The besatr we can do is help each other not to make similar mistakes and deliver a message to errant companies that they can pack up and go no love lost. Now if only those fellas wiht the fact digging skills into politicians lives can apply their skills here..I'll boycott every company related to FC Edited September 16, 2011 by fatz

My parents were interested in buying from Furniture Club. I had trouble convincing them of all these complaints about Furniture Club on the forums. There are many who do not have ample knowledge and believe that they are paying premium for Made in Italy furniture.Recently, Da Vinci got into a terrible mess. They were held accountable by the Chinese press for passing off China made stuff as made in Italy. I think this has helped errant China retailers from misrepresenting their products. We need consumer watchdogs to be more proactive in Singapore.
