dkhor 0 Report post Posted March 12, 2011 Hi Jerry, I have the same problem with your leather, peeling and cracking after 2 years of use. Had written to your customer service with photos. Your CS simply pushed the matter aside and claim that it is due to wear and tear or use of alkali cleaner. This is higher unlikely especially after 2 years of use. In fact, the first crack occurs after about 6 months of use and I suspect because my kids may have scratch it. But now, I believe it is simply due to the poor quality of the leather use. Would simply have to look for a replacement and definitely not from FC anymore.
hipsquare2 0 Report post Posted March 13, 2011 FYI, just to share... while looking for a sofa... we found quite a nice fabric L shaped sofa from FC. After reading this thread, we tried asking for the price of the same model in IFC, Park Mall and IMM. As my spouse and I look "young", we were given the snobbish services in IFC and ParkMall. Worst of all, we were given very different prices for the same model, ranging even more than 1k difference. With all these inconsistencies, we selected another brand from elsewhere. Just to share. Woodie2104 0 Report post Posted March 25, 2011 wow... thanks for enlightening me about FC! Was shopping around for sofa and came across this thread and had the most interesting insights on FC! granted, the designs may look good but quality is definitely more important! who wants to pay $7k to $10k for a sofa and then having to change every 2 years?? or having to live with the pain of flaky leather skin?? gross.... anyway, i ended my shopping trip on wed when i bought my 3+2 full leather sofa from lorenzo. Great looks, extremely comfy and superb service. What more can you ask for?

ZondaR 0 Report post Posted March 30, 2011 Full leather Does Furniture Club have warranty on their sofas. I would expect more from a company that charges so much for their sofas. Have you tried going to CASE?
dkhor 0 Report post Posted April 2, 2011 Does Furniture Club have warranty on their sofas. I would expect more from a company that charges so much for their sofas. Have you tried going to CASE? They have 10 year warranty only for the structure and mechanism. They claim that whether it peels/cracks depends on usage and maintenance. Had many correspondence with them but all they are willing to give is a 40% discount on specific sofa products which is not worth it. By the way, did not have this issue previously with Lorenzo which lasted > 10 years at my old place and under direct sunlight for at least 6 months each year and it definitely speaks a lot about the quality of the leather. Had purchased a new set of sofa from OM, hopefully quality will be better. Will not be going to CASE. I think the comments on this forum speaks for itself and the choice is with the consumer. Am now not sure about leather quality as most come from China eventhough the claim is that it is Made in ITALY or some simply says ITALY quality leather. These may have other meanings. Don't recall seeing any manufacturer claiming leather was produced in ITALY.

If its really from China, then this is gross misrepresentation. CASE should really do something about this.. recently, the Jonal Chong case, where he claimed he was personal stylist for Nicole Kidman, and it turned out to be a scam, I felt that those who took up his packages should have the right to refunds cos of the misrepresentation. It seems like CASE does not have alot of power here, otherwise, you should get your refund.
youteksp 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2011 I'm keen on a Kelvin Giorman set which I saw at their Keppel showroom. After hearing complains from some of you, I'm undecided. By the way anyone know do they have credit cards 0% installment?

By the way anyone know do they have credit cards 0% installment? I got myself a KG set abt 6mths back....no complaint so far. Seems like most of the issues are with their in-house sets (I could be wrong) but KG sets have been spared thus far. Also, I paid my dowpayment via interest free installment. Cheers

I seriously think its a ripped off. No way Genuine leather looks like this. I think you should put this on Stomp. I bet they will replace your sofa immediately, otherwise they risk losing their reputation.
