Hi all,

Not sure whether i am in the correct forum... need to check with you i just got my resale flat in jurong west... and i need to do some designing of my own.

But i haven nt got my floor plan yet... is it possible for someone to send me first so that i can do my own designing? Mine is a 4A1 floor plan.

And also, is there any software (ie. like Google SketchUp) or so that i can DIY and try to design my own flat before engaging the experts? thanks alot

Second, you can buy the floorplan of your unit from HDB for a small fee.

Third , try floorplanner or else you can try google sketchup but those 2 are time consuming ie; floorplanner takes some time to load saved changes at times while google sketchup, you got to draw from boxes to building the actual thing just like Legos. Or else you can sketch out the layout on paper based on your floorplan. keke

Agree with BunBun. I tried a few interior design softwares and it's not really worth the time. It takes a lot of learning curve to understand the software and very time consuming. Best is to have you ideas in paper or in sketches and let the designer come up with the designs/drawings and you keep amending the designs until it suite you.

Get ur Floorplan from HDB (ard $5) and it more accurate. Browse thru Reno mag or RT to select ur theme and most impt worked out ur Budget.
