porkypig 0 Report post Posted June 23, 2008 For me i don't think so.. u can ask how many % of acrylic, i was told not to get 100% acrylic. As it gets scratch more easily. But at the end of the day, solid surface still get scratch. visibility depends on the colour that you chose. chEErs..

tingshen 0 Report post Posted June 25, 2008 And that is hw long ago? Is there really a difference between the quality among the different brands? Thanks! We got it done about 1 year ago. Volcano series should be 2007 model, the design is nice. You can ask your supplier to show you different brands. Quality does matter. the good thing about acrylic is, you can always patch if there is cracks, or grind it if you think it's too much scratch. if you dun get 100% acrylic, it may not be as durable. Good brand will give you spare acrylic stick for patching purpose in the future.

tingshen 0 Report post Posted June 25, 2008 so i will need to get those with high acrylic content ah?? How often do owners get patching or grinding done? Thanks! it's really up to you. my advice is either go for 100% acrylic or just get the cheapest one. It's just happened that I picked the design from LG and it is 100% acrylic but no others. patching is needed when there is crack, grinding is done when it's uneven or your solid surface really full of scratches. Aiya, just go to any fast food restaurant and look at their sales counter lor, mostly acrylic one, no matter how scratched it is, it will be like those lar. If your budget allows you, go for the best. Hi all, Anyone has a list of solid surface companies? Pse PM me.. Thanks. I am thinking of approaching the companies directly instead of going through ID. BTW, my hse reno has already completed and am now thinking of adding something.. hehe
