Just a piece of advice...if you need customisation to fit into cabinet, better make sure your contractor agrees to it. We almost ended up with a $500 drawer system that we can't use. Still installing now, but will look ugly because contractor turned around and say won't customise cabinet.

Not cheap but you are guaranteed with a beautiful, well-made kitchen that will last a long time, i think that is important!

Well, the cheaper alternative to Blum is certainly Ikea's system, which the same as Blum, because it is designed by Blum for Ikea

I am not sure what is your treshold for the pull out, but we got the blum from their distributor somewhere in kranji and it is not that expensive.

Give them a call, kiang sing hong hardware @ 6368 2220. They are located deep in kranji industry park somewhere, been there once. I go my contractor to buy a special hinge for the pull up cabinet and also some pull out trays.

The other option, which i would not say is cheap/cheaper is Hafele, they are in sg kadut, in "nutz" center. They have soft closing, solid track larder. Hope this helps.

They hv a shop @ 828 Upper Bukit Timah Road near Esso Petrol Station. Near Ten Mile Junction.

Blum authorised reseller..hinges and drawer runners.

They also carry Hafele hinges.

i think they are the same shop but another branch. The one in kranji from what i heard from Blum has more stuff, not display like blum showroom but you can see the physical drawers in shelf and also hinges etc... like a typical hardware shop.

As i have never compared the prices of blum, i think setup like this could be easier on the wallet due to location/operating cost etc.

for the kitchen, I would recommend the Song Cho products, used them in my old house for 10 yrs, no rust, no problems at all... so sad the new owners decided to throw them all away!!!

blum is good.. but if your look for a cheaper alternative. look in ikea.. not too sure if that what u want, i got 2 pull out for my kitchen.. but i ask the contactor not to bolt up the cupboard door to the rack, but i believe u can choose to do so
