LittleDevil 0 Report post Posted June 19, 2008 These days shoes are not cheap, to simply put it outside the house is unthinkable. Unless you dun mind to use the storeroom to store all the shoes, it would be best to have a shoe cabinet inside the house. I've planned a 5ft full height shoe cabinet for my new place but due to FS reason, the shelves above my height would have to be used to store other things. Starscream 0 Report post Posted June 19, 2008 Anyway to secure a shoe cabinet so that it doesn't get "carried away" along the outside wall of a HDB flat?

gumbokins 5 Report post Posted June 19, 2008 Anyway to secure a shoe cabinet so that it doesn't get "carried away" along the outside wall of a HDB flat? my neighbours use the IKEA TRONES shoe cabinets and mount them outside their house. being flat, they don't take up much space, which is esp good coz they live in a common corridor unit. gumbokins 5 Report post Posted June 20, 2008 Like this? yup. but frm my understanding, they are modular pcs that can be mixed and matched. they have 2 rows of two that fit very nicely under their common corridor window.
keltong 4 Report post Posted June 20, 2008 I have a shoe cabinet inside my house, shoe racks outside my house, and I still have shoes everywhere! Haha, 4 person living but the number of shoes we have is like 10 person living. I see my opp neighbour always only 2 pair of shoes on the shoe rack outside. skywolf 0 Report post Posted June 20, 2008 i was on the hunt for THE shoe cabinet a couple of mths back, and it was pretty hard looking for one that was just right. IKEA shoe cabinets won't fit my husband's size 13 shoes very well. in the end found the One at Rattan Pacific at Enterprise 1. Comes with a pull-out bench too...but now that I think about it, it was a bit expensive ($600+). Hihi, Do you happen to have a pic of yr shoe rack?
