Onkyo Ht System

Recommended Posts

Hi,

How does the Onkyo HT system fare against the brands like Sony, Samsung, Pioneer?

Is anyone using Onkyo HT Systems?

Thanks

I am using an Onkyo receiver which I believe there are others using it here.

Previously I am using the Onkyo HTIB system which I still prefer over Sony/Samsung/Philips. If Onkyo HTIB is not ok, I will go for Jamo HTIB.

:)

Hi

Which model is your Onkyo HT system? In my personal experience, Onkyo is definitely much much better than the likes of Sonys or Samsungs. Another good HTiB one can consider is Denon.

Cheers

Which model of Onkyo HT system you are using now?

Where did you purchase it? It seems quite hard to find places which sells Onkyo products.

Just go to Adelphi and there are loads of shops selling HT stuff

I supposed Adelphi is more for DIY pple. Do the shops there sell out of the box?

Your supposition is incorrect. Adelphi has numerous shops that sell HT systems complete with installation. The local distributor for Onkyo is Tat Chuan so you can check the showroom there (1st floor).

Another good shop to check out is KEC Sound Systems, also on the 1st floor tucked at a corner.

I highly recommend KEC Sound Systems.

But first, have a budget in mind.

Yap, KEC is highly recommended. Theyre much obliged to help you cater a HTS according to your given budget.

NiV, may I know what system you got from KEC?

Cheers

My budget is less than 1K. Is it sufficient to get a standard Onkyo HT?

I just need a decent HT system.

onkyo is now available at courts, best & harvey.

should be able to get a decent set for less than 1k.

Wharfedale Diamond + Onkyo 606 :)

Also depends on your requirements la...I started off with el-cheapo PC HT systems, upgrade to more "professional" HTIB, then to Onkyo HTIB and then now with my Wharfedale setup, which I think will last me for a long time cos my ears cannot hear anything better than that. :P

To many of my friends, there is no difference in HTIB and "dedicated" HTS.
