Not sure if Purple is still looking at this thread since this is started in June. I hope everything's going well for you, Purple. I too am looking forward to start a family with my hubby but couldn't conceive after 1 year of marriage. I went around seeing one gynae after another. Initially I was given Clomid for 6 months but no results so change gynae to another at Raffles Medical who suggested something call HSG/Xray to see what's wrong inside my womb but nothing wrong so change to another gynae at AMK who suggested doing Laparoscopy to see what's wrong. Did that and found I'd slight endometriosis and my fallopian tubes are blocked. Shortly after the op, I was again placed on medication to ensure everything's alright and after about 6 months of relaxation overseas, I'm finally pregnant!

So if you've decided to have a baby and your financial status permits (cos everything's not cheap), use up all the alternatives to determine the root cause of your infertility before you try out IVF. I'm not saying you've to follow my footsteps as there are mothers I know who got pregnant after 10years of trying without any help. Perhaps like what the rest of the forumners said, a relaxed state of well-being could just be the answer. IVF is not easy and it's a painful process with no guarantee of conceiving.

Good luck and take care! :)

I'm going to see Dr L C Cheng of Thomson Medical this Wednesday for IUI consultation. I read from a few forum that he is quite a good gynae. I've been trying for 3 years, went to Eu Yan Sang for a year but still no news :(

Hi all,

Me and my hb are consulting a Gynaec at KKH private suite for problems in conceiving (after a miscarriage )for more than one year.We would like to change hospital and go to a doctor specialising in Infertility.

If you have any suggestions please share wth me.

Have anyone heard of Dr.Jothikumar who specialises in Infertility at Gleanegles?Any other name to suggest?

It would be a great help indeed.

Thanks in advance

Try Dr Kang Wee @ Mount E. My Wife's & My Sisters Gyne... She is good...

Just relax and enjoy the moment with the man you love.

Learn how to count your most fertile date.

If you rush it in your mind, your body will tense up, harder for his sperm to reach your egg.

i do know of a supplement that can help in conceiving as there are couples who indeed got pregnant after taking it. Its AgeLoc R2. The couple can take this together using just one package since it is family pack. For more info can pm me or email to fre_chenml@hotmail.com

Hi guys, just like to update this post as I have member asking fur updates. My boy is one yrs old now :D . There are a lot of my friends who postpone having baby, feeling that they can have it anytime and its easy. Unfortunately, this is not the case. We went to the Tcm clinic opp Long House along upp thomson road. We also went to see gyne at thomson medical and do a check up for both of us to make sure everything is fine. We have a friend who have some blockage and did a minor surgery. Immediately after the surgery, she is conceive. Gyne do have baby luck.

We also bought ovary test kit, not prag test kit to test for the ovary cycle.

Most importantly, try to relax more. Stress is usually the main factor. After you have a kid, work is always secondary. Its not worth it to work so hard for the company after all.

It is true that the most important thing is to relax and have faith that you will conceive one day.

Just don't lose hope and keep trying ...

I lost my second child more than 10 years ago because of prematured birth ... gave birth at 26 weeks

... baby weighed less than 1 kg ... died after 40 days in hospital.. and also had 1 miscarriage before

and 2 threatened abortions also ... but I never gave up ... and kept trying ...

The result:-

Now ... I have 2 boys and 2 girls ... :)
