May I know for the Sink Mounting Top Or Under Mount wat the difference?

AND WAT THE PRO AND CON FOR TOP MOUNT???

top mount, looks nicer to me

bottom mount, more practical to me. water flows down.

bottom mount, when u want to change the sink , need to hack away..

that's i heard from some ID

for me, i also like bottom mount because its practical when u do some cooking preparation

Mine is top mount. My contractor used silicon to seal up the join lines underneath the sink and granite countertop. To change the sink few yrs later should be pretty easy bah

I wanted to try top mount cos in my parents's place, it is bottom mount and my mom is a lazy person. She hardly brushes the seal up area, hence, the silicon has changed from white to yellowish color. Not nice now

Dry everything, then use whatever u can find: penknife, screwdriver, cutter, to remove the old yellow silicon. Then buy from supermarket or DIY shops new silicon in tubes. If u want nice nice, wear a glove, use finger to make the filling nicer. They have white colour or translucent like what u using now.

Sink, pple don't change really change, unless u change back to the same model (if it's still available, buy some and stock in storeroom ). Coz u have to consider the hole size already cut into the kitchen top, and also the position of the drainage below that are already fixed.

To me, top mount brings out the feeling of the sink, it becomes the center attraction. You can see the entire naked sink in stainless steel.

me also had same question soometime ago.

i chose undermount eventually due to convenience in sweeping water into sink easily. I dun tink i will need to replace my sink as sink rarely spoils. unless i overhaul my kitchen.

if in doubt, just go for undermount, won't go wrong.

i think doesnt really matter for concrete or wooden cabinet. its still individual preference over these pros and cons.

for wooden cabinet, if u use undermount, also same procedure.

- need to remove the kitchen surface (granite or solid surface etc) to replace the sink. no difference from concrete base.

1. more likely u should consider if u comfortable with the sink edges protrude out? - top mount

2. or u prefer to have convenience when preparing food at sink -undermount

3. if u are comfortable with the replacement of sink procedure -undermount

4.if u want the flexibility to replace sink easily - top mount

5.for aesthetic reasons? to each's own on which one looks nicer

yes....my previous home we engaged classic kitchen specialist and we used the integrated sink...it was easy to maintain...

my new place i wanted to use the integrated sink but my id only has the small integrated 40cm sink...so it is too small and i decided to do away with it.....

are the oils easy to wash off? will it have scratches easily? so what type of material are there for integrated sink? i think my fren wants to do this sink for her new hse also. she told me her current one leaked previously and got rust after sometime.

it is easy to maintain...it can take hot water, oil...etc....

many claims that since the integrated sink it is in white, it will turn yellow in no time....but i do not have such issue even after using it for 5 years....
