Erm... how abt the Sofa @ the wall behind BR3's study desk, at the same orientation according to forummer's Starscream plans? Then the TV @ next to storerm? But why are you gonna hack away the store? Sure to have some stuff that is better left hidden in storerm over the yrs. Or do a partition at the orange part across horizontally (sofa put there), then TV console @ the same wall behind BR3's study desk? That would you guys gonna walk along the room to get to the other parts of yr hse...

Actually i have have thought of flushing the way like you suggesting by the end of both walls but it's too far apart. I'm using the effective safe distance from our eyes to the TV so a rough gauge shouldn't be more than 3m from the sofa to the TV. And i'm a little pandang don't like people to cut through when i watch TV. I'll be posting some ideas i made from the various 3d programmes and let you guys see. jackng1982 0 Report post Posted May 31, 2008 OKAY! Some 3D drawings i did using Google Sketchup. Let's hear some comments~ Bird's eye view of the house. Tried to correct to the exact measurement as given in the HDB floorplan. Some ideas of my living room layout. Or specifically the TV area. 1. 2. 3. 4. Lets have a poll and see who likes which layout better. The furnishing are just dummies and not the exact model i'm looking to get. Just take it as a reference and voice your opinions why you like this particular layout.
jackng1982 0 Report post Posted June 1, 2008 Went down to Cellini in the afternoon, they're having discount storewide. Some pictures to share. Theatro We were greeted by the Theatro as soon as we entered the building. We like this console design very much but we gave it up cos we're not planning to flush the console against the wall and back is not as well covered like Manhattan. But overall still a very nice piece of furnishing. Manhattan I fell in love with this console when i first saw it on Cellini webbie and looking at it real-time made me love it more!(Bebe of course i love you more ) The cabinet at the back is best for concealing wires and cables. Very solid feel didn't feel filmsy at all. UFO Very good idea for a day-bed but no space for us to put due to it's unique shape. EVITA EVITA with a different placement A 2-pc sofa module which i find very nice cos i can place it in a few different to suit different occasions. oops 5 picture limit off to next page ;p Cantilever Coffee Table Dunno why but we particularly love blackish coloured furniture as is this coffee table. Design quite to our liking with the contrasty red. Clocks A few pieces of nice looking clocks. DAMAGE! In the end after some nice discounting offered by the GSS and saleslady Dian we decided to place a deposit for the Manhattan, The 2 pc EVITA module & and the Cantilever Coffee Table. Total original price was $4300+ and $3100 after discount. Well i'm not the kind to go the the extent of pressuring sales personnel until our saliva goes dry but i find it a rather good deal Now my entertainment area is settled!(Less the Electrical stuff of course ;p)
skywolf 0 Report post Posted June 2, 2008 My vote is no. 2, with a flimsy (see-thru) divider so that it can afford some privacy and yet can see out of the window.
jackng1982 0 Report post Posted June 3, 2008 Thanks for the advices everyone. More 3d images and accurate setup of my TV area coming soon. Then we can have more discussion.
