simplyannes 1 Report post Posted May 27, 2008 Currently the kitchen floor tiles is being laid. ID said no tiles will be placed under the cabinet, only cement. Is this the standard norm ? Would it be better if all kitchen floor has tiles in it ?
yokine9a 1 Report post Posted May 27, 2008 My cabinet base is cemented too, no tiles on top. Guess there is no point to lay tiles on top since they will be covered by your cabinet eventually
delirious_jeff 0 Report post Posted May 27, 2008 Some renovators placed tiles, most renovators do not. Some other lazy renovators do not even place tiles over the wall area covered by the kitchen cabinet. I do not think it make any difference whether tiles are laid or not laid over the floor area covered by the kitchen cabinet. If your quotation says that the entire kitchen floor are to be laid with tiles and you like to have tiles over the floor area covered by the kitchen cabinet, you should have it.
