From the plot of land or from the individual unit per se? Or both? And in one of the previous thread, I read with interest that you advise each floor has an earthly element. How about the basement? On the exterior, you got to look at the plot of lands topo, gradient (left/right), roads and surrounding houses, tall bldgs near your estate, lamp post/trees etc. Taking your house as the TaiJi, you'll see many things. You treat the basement as a different level and it has its own Taiji, space and time. It is part of your house feng shui. How it affects will depend on how you allow the Qi flows.
