I use black for certain living wall too. Don't be too concern. Use any colors as long as you feel good. The only thing you need to take note is not to make the whole living black. One more thing, when you use dominant black, make sure you have sufficient brightness during the day. If during the day, your living still looks dim, you need to make some changes.
