I'm also using Mitsubishi Starmex... but expensivee!! Think it's about $4k for a System 4, from Gaincity. Thought the price of aircon will go down after all these years!

Juz came back from holiday. Unless your blowers are all very high BTU. Think the agent overcharged you. I also have got quotation from them for 4 split. Around 3.7-3.85K depending on who you asked.

Well i have problem routing my living room aircon pipe. The suggestion from the aircon man is ridiculous so want to see who in the forum stay in 3 rm install aircon in the living room then can take reference.

Now the piping comes out from the common bathroom. The going out is not a prob. The prob lies with the coming back. From wat we found out is the beam at the passage way cannot drill hole, it's a pillar to support the house. So the only way is to go thru the guest bedroom all the way to master bedroom then to MBR toilet. One whole big round & definitely will look ugly with such thick casing. So i wonder how the LGians of 3 room deal with such prob. Where they actually route it. 4 Room layout will not have such prob. I think only 3 room. It's the layout & stupid design of the flat. Now i am having a huge headache.

Can you upload your floor plan so that we can all advise you better? Trust me, be it 3 rooms, 4 rooms or 5 rooms, all of us are aware of the odd design issue of our LG units. Beams and pillars everywhere is not just the only problem. There are lots more...... So technically speaking, it is incorrect to say 4 room layout wil not have such problem at all.

I was told by my contractor that it is not advisable to use sandpaper because it will remove a protective layer usually found on such racks, making it easier to get rusty.

Remove the dust with a dry cloth and use WD-40 to polish the rack - LG China contractors did it this way. WD-40 is available in most supermarkets and DIY stores.

you can refer to my reno blog on how my trunking works (hope it helps) .

mine is 4 room but I still had to sacrifice 1 room for the ugly trunking to run.

Do you engage an ID, if so maybe you can ask your ID to have a meetup with the trunking man. Thats what I do.

WD 40 is a strong rust remover & in the end, it will also remove your protective layer. In the end it will still turn rusty again. My advice, live with it.

Well, that's what I have learnt from SAF which disallow WD40 on vehicles & machineries as it will get rusty again much easier.

Ok, which reminds me.. there's a power socket beside the aircon ledge (inside the master bedroom), and its rounded. Is that a normal power socket? But how come its round?

Car hindges normally uses only grease. Better change your car!!

CHOY! change car! heh, i'm eyeing on the water dispenser there already, actually not bad.. 25cents for 60seconds of water..

But able to change the power socket to normal ones? Or can that socket be used for normal appliances as well?
