Reiki 0 Report post Posted October 11, 2008 (edited) Often, we wonder how long does it take for a renovation to finish? We feel that our renovation has been dragging too long and there is still no indicative date for a handover. It has now more than 3 months - haha, it is 3 months and 6 days to be exact All over the house, there are still some works to be completed. Anyway, sharing here some of the renovation pictures: Carpentry works in Dining Area. The wardrobe, right of picture, is basically to conceal the aircon trunkings. Reiki 0 Report post Posted October 11, 2008 More Pictures Lightings The only hanging light in the house is this one in the Dining Area. Once renovation is completed, we will lower down the lights. Led Lights around the house: - Dining Area at the wall ledges [right and left]. A frosted glass will cover the lights. - Under the TV Console in the Living Room - At the bed head in Master Bedroom - At the Master Toilet [Works not fully completed here]
Reiki 0 Report post Posted October 11, 2008 (edited) The Incomplete Kitchen Cabinet We can't afford a full Blum system. Only using the mechanism for all the drawers and top hung cabinets. Carpenters waiting for the glass framed to install to the drawers and doors. Our kitchen will be black floor, white glass framed drawers and black top. The Dry Area: The Wet Area: Hopefully, the island hood can be installed this monday. Edited October 11, 2008 by Reiki
mmycheng 0 Report post Posted October 12, 2008 Did you work out a schedule or timeline with your ID/contractor? Usually the reno permit also states how long the company engaged needs to carry out their work. Sometimes certain companies take on too many jobs and therefore you might need to 'push' then a little harder. Anyway, your house is shaping up well. Like the LED lights! hee Where exactly is your location ah?

Reiki 0 Report post Posted October 17, 2008 Love the Design Reiki....Like it Bright. Hope I'll be able to post more pictures here once my place is done up too. Thanks! All the best to your reno. I am sure it will be nice. Your suspended tv console is using normal light tube or led lights? We are using led lights. Our designer feels it will give a uniform hotspot throughout which cannot be achieved with a normal light tube. And led light consumes lower electricity cos of its lower wattage. Very nice living room and MBR toilet. Looking fwd to see the end product. Sure very nice! Thanks Angel81. Will try to post more pics. We are busy cleaning up the place the last few days as we will be moving in early next week. very neat n clean. nice! Thanks! hi, nice main gate u have...wats e price like? where u gt it? It is custom made. Err, not very sure of the price - Designer is yet to invoice us but were told about $850.
Reiki 0 Report post Posted October 17, 2008 At last, we managed to solve the problem with the Franke Island Hood. It took few days with few alternatives. The lesson learned - it will be very problematic to install an island hood in old hdb unit if you don't have a good floor-ceiling height.
