jasmax 0 Report post Posted May 2, 2008 Recently found a re-sale flat, this is my 1st hse nwaiting for our 1st appt. As the flat is in good condition, we hope to do min reno. we hv our a bit of our own idea, and hv a super low budget constraint. we r thinking of : 1. chemical wash the hse; 2. repaint the hse (mulit colors) 3. renovating e 2 toilet (change floor tiles, toilet seat, basin, cabinet below basin, taps and shower head); 4. change all the doors (or at least the toilet doors n shower screen); 5. 2 custom wardrobe (something like alumix type with doors); 6. 2-3 custom fixtures (wooden slits beside the door, shoe cabinet and big cover ard e lcd tv (a little bit like feature wall) for to hide cable (looking to mount lcd on wall)); 7. plan to keep the kitchen cabinet as it is or maybe just re-laminate it; 8. roller/roman blind for the windows. any advice? anything we miss out? who do i look for, contractor or those ID firm? yokine9a 1 Report post Posted May 5, 2008 Super low budget constraint and have your own idea? Go for contractor. Not bcos contractors charge lower than IDs, but simply bcos IDs will package many things for you but if you just want something simple, price is no longer attractive. Ho Bee did the reno for my flat recently, can try to get a quote from them. Mine is also a resale flat, but I didn't do much to it except the kitchen and some minor works in toilet/bathroom
