okxygene 0 Report post Posted July 24, 2008 Hi All A quick update. My coffee table and tv console were finally delivered. The delivery department's coordinator was extremely rude when she called up to arrange for delivery. It was not unexpected that the date was stuffed in my face with no chance for recourse on my part. She must be thinking I would be available all time any day. It was absurd! With regards to delivery itself, we took the advice of forummers here and stayed around to supervise. The logistics guys were rather helpful but the state of furniture was NOT up to standard. Coffee table and tv console were covered in a thick layer of dust. Glass & mirror surfaces were smudged with grime. Pheeph.. interior of the drawers had rubbish in them! Some of the glass drawers were also misaligned. As there were no major defects & we were extremely keen on terminating all connections with this company, my hubby advised me to close an eye on the alignment. This is what I get for paying so much!! To future forummers who might purchase items from life story/ living story/ fashion home pte ltd, buyers beware!
jerry_chaoz 0 Report post Posted July 25, 2008 Can those who bought the coffee table and recieved it confirm if the coffee table they bought is the one on the first level, rectangular in shape and in black glass with metallic silver legs crossed over? We bought our coffee table in Mid June and the original delivery date they gave us was supposed to be this week (End July). When we called them earlier this week, they claim the stock not in yet and will only be in by 15 August. We then had no choice but to shift our delivery date to 16 August (another case of delivery begin delayed). Afraid its gonna be another scam. Just would like to know if any folks out there bought their coffee table after Mid June and have recieved their tables by now???? Thanks.
MeMyself&I 0 Report post Posted July 31, 2008 Can those who bought the coffee table and recieved it confirm if the coffee table they bought is the one on the first level, rectangular in shape and in black glass with metallic silver legs crossed over? I believe that's the same design which I bought....it collapsed one day after delivery....I believe there is a flaw to the design...the legs are not able to support the weight of the top.... henrywoo1978 0 Report post Posted August 1, 2008 Hi yellowfin, The coffee table is the one that they have been advertising on their advert all this while for $399, and on top of that, you need to top up $80 for the delivery + installation fee, so come to about $480. Cheers Forgot to add, the dimension is about 1.4m long, the width about 50cm(if I remember correctly)

slapper 0 Report post Posted August 6, 2008 My experience with Living Story is really quite unusual. I bought my TV console from them, and paid in full. I fixed my delivery date 6 weeks after. When the time came for the delivery, I was told that the item would be delayed by about 3 days. As I have already planned for other delivery arrangements, that delay would upset my delivery plans. So I called up the shop and spoke to the boss, who was very apologetic about the shipment delay and promised to send the goods on the agreed date, which they did. I wouldn't say the goods arrived in the best condition. Workmanship was so-so, and there were some slight defects. I requested them to correct it on the spot, there were some improvements, so I let it pass. Surprisingly, I received another call few days later, informing me that they will be replacing my console (i never asked for a replacement). I gladly accepted the offer, and they sent it to me on the same week, this time round, the condition was almost perfect. I did suspect that the first delivery was just to 'tide' me over, probably a showroom set, I'm not sure. But I am glad that Living Story still has some integrity and replaced my 'defective' set. Well, something that almost went wrong but turned out fine at the end of it, that's my experience with Living Story.

yellowfin 0 Report post Posted August 8, 2008 Thanks Henry . Did you manage to get the Coffee Table fixed back ? You happen to know if I can find similar design to this coffee table at other places ? Would rather pay more than risk not getting the coffee table at the end of the day.
