Just like to confirm with all those who bought their lights from Chelsea Lighting House that though the salesperson promised that the Balast is from Aust, but did he also mentioned where the light bulb is made from?? jtek 0 Report post Posted June 16, 2008 Usually for ballast most lighting shop will be giving safety tested ones cos its a local requirement for conventional ballast to be tested by PSB. But as for lamps, only the big brands like Philips, Osram etc went for PSB test even though its not required for some lamps. Therefore is the shop gave you in-house brand, most likely that brand's QC is not really well done. I think you can demand for a change of lamps as most PLC (I assume yours is PLC) can last 8000 burning hours. If its big brand like Philips or Osram, you can also go to the head office to change with proof of purchase from the lighting shops. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Cheers you mean your bulb blown? too early to tell whose fault is it - the ballast or the bulb. if your bulb keeps getting blown every few weeks - then good news, your ballast got a problem.
