darrenelle 0 Report post Posted November 5, 2008 (edited) Here's my colorful version of your living, forgive me if i am rude to post this( just toying with color here so carpet etc...not perfect, time not enough). Hi 77suns... It's totally fine and I thought it looks so different with the colors. Honestly, we really ever thought of getting a Lime Green rug.. which in the end we decided to keep it down. Not daring enough la... And I really like the feature behind the sofa u had it there... nice.... Will be looking around for colorful accessories though.. Thank you for your effort!! Wah ur hse very nice.... May I ask where you get the following cute items? 1) Door stopper 2) The black man thing under the tv 3) The small trolley Hi Crystal, Thank you. 1) Door stopper - from Precious Moment @ Tampines Mall. 2) The black man thing under the tv - Decor Hut @ Central sells it. =) 3) The small trolley - err... this one my bf bought from Japan. =) Wow, your house is very nicely done, simple & chic full of quirky stuff. The cement screeding & your MBR bedhead feature wall is very good. I think you can dress up your living room with some quirky stuff besides books or cds on the standing shelf & a artistic picture to hang on the wall where your sofa is at. Hey Bunbun, Thank you very much. We are definitely taking your suggestion! =) However, need to save some cash for wedding next year. Big hole liao... hehe... very nice place! Thank you Compassvale!! ur place beri nice!! how much u spent for reno? Hi bluberi Thank you. Total reno is aroung 48k... Hi Thanks for the reply Can u share with me where the manufacturer is? Thanks! Hey Itsy, It's our ID who sourced for it. In fact they are the same as those who do the iron gate/ grille. =) Edited November 5, 2008 by darrenelle
yapyap 0 Report post Posted November 6, 2008 The delayed 3D drawings. Kitchen and... the Entertainment Area I think the entertainment area although always a nice thing to have is abit redundant since you cannot entertain and watch TV at the same time. Why separate them and not merge them as one. it makes a big living room smaller. For myself i like space.. the more space i get the happier i am... im new here so just my 2 cents.. building my own house now and is 2-3months into completion! lazy to post a T-Blog like you guys but i enjoyed reading all the posts here.. Hey yapyap, this 3D drawing was so many months back. reminding our initial stage of planning for the house. We no longer have the partition at the entertainment are. We merge dining and study to become the entertainment area, and the living and balcony for a bigger living area, also in order to have the dining table just after the foyer. We still can put a mahjong table in between the table and living, not so bad.... Congrats! And all the best to your Reno ya... Ours took a long time... Hi nice Place u have.... Congras... I am not sure as well. Be meeting my ID tmr, will check with him and let u guys know. =) We did for about 700+ Hi Vera and Jessie... The bedside drawers are from Kartell I bought them at $148 each. darrenelle 0 Report post Posted November 6, 2008 48k for a beautiful house is worth it!! mi spent 42k, turn out oni so-so.. like kenna robbed. Bluberi, u are still so funny... In fact we spend a bit more like on the wall paper and the divider... else ours also look like kena robbed. And we changed the wall color to a darker shade (initially was this lighter grey with vintage yellow), it makes a difference.
77suns 0 Report post Posted November 6, 2008 "48k for a beautiful house is worth it!" -- wow think i will consider going back to designing works hehe! darrenelle-- add a punch of color into your dining too or make them classic bK/WH scheme will be even better, simply add some dark pattern will fashion up the place. darrenelle 0 Report post Posted November 6, 2008 Thanks darrenelle, shall check them out. I wan to  whenever i see the trolley, so cute. Hi crystal15, I thought my bf was kidding me, till I saw the real thing. I laughed as well. He said, it's for her future daughter to play. Then the next question from my mum is, so is the divider for my son to climb in future? "48k for a beautiful house is worth it!" -- wow think i will consider going back to designing works hehe! darrenelle-- add a punch of color into your dining too or make them classic bK/WH scheme will be even better, simply add some dark pattern will fashion up the place. Hey 77suns.. why not? I thought it's so fun... Thank you for the suggestion. Thinking of either to have a painting above the dining or to have a loud display on the table. Not considering rug. We could have bought a bigger table with stainless steel legs to give a contrast. However, we were blindly falling in love with this one without 2nd thought and bought it. =)
77suns 0 Report post Posted November 6, 2008 Thanks for the encouragement. It is fun but lot of hard work cos I'm too perfectionist, think too hard. Going back to designing hmm maybe... Also if you want a change to your white dining table in future, put on a colored glass top, will be interesting.
