kajua 1 Report post Posted May 20, 2008 (edited) Thanks. It's for mr bf's ps3 and wii... basically gaming corner. yah, we asked steven to do it so as to create a space on it's own. but right now, it's not confirmed. I see this thing as impractical. haha... by the way, how's your bookshelf coming? We ever wanted to custom make one but Steven quoted us 1600 dollars!! $1600?!?!?!?!? How big a bookcase did you ask for? 8 feet? Steven said our bookcase has been fabricated but the carpenter is so busy he has no one to spare to come and installed the bookcase at our place Ours was $1000 for a 5ft full height 50cm depth with half glass half wood door bookcase Edited May 20, 2008 by kajua

darrenelle 0 Report post Posted May 22, 2008 Simmons and Sealy is having promotion. Simmons has further reduction for the GSS which starts tomorrow. Great deal. We have set our eyes on the Glendale in king size. Happy!

darrenelle 0 Report post Posted May 23, 2008 Where did u see the promotions? Serta any promos? I'm planning to buy bed during GSS also! I saw it at IMM's Simmons. I think you will see it at all Simmons Branch. The Serta Salesperson was telling me that they are having a 10% + 10% on top of promotional prices at Takashimaya if you purchased with a Taka Credit card. It's only for this weekend which starts today. But not all models are available there. You may be interested to go down and take a look. Other than that, I think Serta's mattresses are at promotional prices too, not sure if there will be further slash during GSS.

darrenelle 0 Report post Posted May 24, 2008 So how much did it cost u? I'm gng down to IMM to get my Serta tmr... Went to Taka today also but the model I want is not part of the promotion We bought it at $3.5k (round up). BF didn't like any model at IMM but I like this model call Sophiscate (i think) from there. I thought we were be getting Simmons liao, by chance we just hopped onto the Serta mattress and it's more comfortable as compared to the Simmons model that we wanted to get. I think Serta has some promotion at the main gallery too.

Was offered one price by the Taka salesman (which is the lowest I have found so far) and I called up the IMM side, the salesman who served me last time told me he will give me a "special package" that will be better than the other side. He says he cant tell me over the phone so I'll go down and see what he can come up with lor. Does yours come with bedframe? The $500 bedframe + bench set is a good deal and cant seem to find this price elsewhere. Too bad they dont have storage beds.

Agree with the deal is good. Quite like the bench. Mr Bf likes the long bolster/ pillow that they make it only for display but not for sale. haha..
darrenelle 0 Report post Posted May 25, 2008 Hi all, We are going to have a platform bed. Right now, the intention is to continue the same laminate for the bedroom floor up to the platform. Mr bf is thinking of wrapping it up with carpet for a softer feel. I wonder if there is any other material that can be used as well? Can anyone provide some suggestion or tell me where I can read up some details of it? Thank you!

Mr Bf likes the long bolster/ pillow that they make it only for display but not for sale. haha.. Oh ok... I finally ordered the bed. Price is $3100 for king size and thats the best price I've found. The sales guy also offered me a price guarentee. That's if the price of the model goes any lower from now till my delivery, he will match the price Also managed to squeeze the most out of this salesman. The entire package as follows: Serta Missouri King matteress Bedframe with headboard Matching bench 4 x Serta Pillows 2 x Serta Sheeps (can choose number we want ) 2 x Matteress protector (managed to squeeze one extra one from him. Worth it cos a protector of this size usually cost ~$100)

Seems like he's the supervisor of the outlet (according to name card) so maybe need to meet quota or something. The pillows and protectors will come in useful but the sheeps are nice to have decoratives. But after trying all the brands, I still think Serta beds are the best in terms of comfort
