Ok Folks! Time for me to do my job again!

1st things first, i think Danielray is an ID. WHY? because no pictures posted.. then when someone talks about pictures.. 1 is posted.. by a newbie some more!

Now now folks, we are know what forums are about. It's about sharing. So we shouldn't go around pointing our tubby finger at anyone. (ok now i might get sued for saying tubby.. hmm.. )

snoopydog was IMHO fine in being cautious. In fact, thats what we tell all forumers. Exercise caution.

I would also be cautious if I see a newbie from day 1 not knowing Tau interior to 2nd day get quote and 4th day singing praises.

Heck it could be the truth but that doesn't mean people cannot be cautious.

To the rest. If you feel dubious, what can you do? If you want, go down to take a look, if not walk away. Many IDs and other contractors around.

I'm not supposed to side with anyone but then snoopydog's post have no ill intent (after investigations we confirm that he is not a rival ID)...

P.S. Snoopydog... find my contractor... lah..

On another issue, Sugarmeg's post is one that I like to highlight. polite.... and what she said was true. This should be the correct manner in which forummers respect each other, I can't say so for some of the other replies. (You know who you are.)

In the magical world of IT, there is something called IP Logging. We know who are the real culprits but like sometimes we just let everything relax. I'm not saying or insinuating anyone here is an ID. I'm just saying that we know when accounts are coming from the same computer or via same router.

Consider everyone involved warned. No more flaming.

i was pretty late in sourcing for ID, got quotes fm 3 & selected 1, so far so good i guess

bath floor/wall tiles

kitchen wall tiles

3 built cabinets

2 door frames

1 panel concrete wall

window grilles, curtain railing, some hooks here & thr

maybe mine cheaper coz flat small & also no tiling in living/bed rooms

No offend but jus wanna share our views. Not siding wif any parties here too. For sure seeing pics speak louder then words and i am sure the forumers here jus wanna make sure things go on smoothly and not to be cheated afterall it will be a big amt spend in reno.

Anyone can give their comments on how good an ID is and how reasponsible etc. But if you really wan to know if it is true or fasle, best is to go down personally and check it out. You can ask them to bring you to their current projects to see. We manage to get Tau's contact thru one of the forumer and arranged for a meetup wif Kelvin and Gabriel.

We discussed thru wif them on our requirement and get a quote but of cos we had been doing research and gettin quotations from other IDs posted in this forum too. Out of the few quotes we got, Tau pricing was reasonable, we were quoted $46k finally excluding the rewiring for a major overhaul of a 5 room resales flat after all the revised and amendmets. We also requested to see their ongoing projects and was brought by them to Pasir Ris and Bishan to see the flat done. We even spoke to the Pasir Ris owner. And finally signed the contract wif them after seeing their works done.

All was discussed and confirmed within 3 weeks as we wanted to avoid the 7th mth festivel to Dong Tu. We collected our keys on 18 Jul and our reno work had since started on sat (26 Jul). And so far we had encountered good experiences with Tau.

So is informing other members who are the culprits posting from the same IP, having multiple accounts & clones considered part of your job as well?

At the end of the day, take everything you read on the forums with a grain of salt. Arguing about everything will result in high blood pressure. If you take time to read things carefully on the forums, it can be a great source of info and advice. On the other hand, as with all public forums, there's plenty of chaff with the wheat that you need to filter out.

My 2cts...just like you buy home deco magazine...you read and you see the pictures of the firms...with pictures or photos, it will make it more interesting and fun. If you buy a home deco without any pictures and all wording...you definately wont buy or even read it. Forumers will have better options too.

Agreed with what you said. At the end of the day after finding all the quotes from various IDs, it is still best to chose an ID that you think you are comfortable to liaise and work with.... The advises given in this forum is for the forumers to gain a better ideas and options for chosing an IDs.

Wife was not comfortable in the first place when we only see posts and no pics. She saw lots of t-blog and forumers posting up their work process done by the famous I***l Hse but there was no pics posted in Tau thread. And she had got doubts abt it if this could be trusted......Told her no harm going down to see before we make our final decision.

Nobody can force you to ask for your $$$. Remember that.

You will have your final say not the ids/contractors.

Move on if you have doubts, there are many many good and hidden ids/contractors around in Spore.
