hi rock,

we like about their responsible and service, workmanship is up to individual. for us ,so far so good. no problem issue. hinges problem i thiink is not consider part of the workmanship, basically due to machanism problem.is a supporter in order they can convince us. Tau ID done a good job for our house.

Come to think of it, i was cleaning my kitchen and found the cabinet door below my sink has corroded hinges, but the rest of the areas no problem.

Duno isit material problem or location of the hing. Hmm...

Still Tau provides service, all these parts are like "OEM" :D

Care - how are u n wifey?

More than strong, is like fervent. Seems related to Kelvin or have stake in Tau Interior lah! LOL! No doubt that Tau Interior can be good but no one is perfect, esp when it comes to products & services which are hand-produced. Flaws & defects bound to occur, just a question of whether the client can spot them.

hi cat,

so far, any picture for your sweet home to post up that done by tau id. looking forward for your sharing. ho ho.... update up date orr

care

yes, i am back, after a long silence... tight travel schedule and did not even update my reno blog for more than a month :(

just to update, my reno completed with handover done... payment effected last sat, tho kevin will still get his guy to touch up some flaws and help me with fixture (i.e. drilling)...

read through the thread and see you guys discussed about workmanship... hmm... nothing is perfect... even kevin also asked us to check and let him know anytime if we spotted any defect, he said that sometimes we might see something that he overlooked... we did pick up some flaws and defects, and most had been rectified swiftly... we also understand that some flaws are due to technical constraints, e.g. laminate is of 8 feet length, so they definitely need to join 2 pieces of laminate if coverage is longer than 8 feet... in this case, joint line is inevitable... so as long as the joint with pattern aligned, and joint line is not obviously visible, it should be acceptable... my point is, flaws and defects are bound to happen in any work, as long as they are responsible and had put in best effort to get it rectified, then we should be happy customer :)

we spent about 30k in reno work by tau... well, what we can say is... we see value :good:

ok, enough for the saying... share some pictures that taken last week...

Do you realise that the top hung cabinet is longer than the desk... this is not intentional... initially we wanted a day bed, but didn't know that day bed meant 2 feet wide... i didn't manage to physically visit due to travelling... and can't tell from the photo that HB taken... only after the day bed and cabinet constructed, then we realised that the day bed is too small... as it is meant as guest bed... so guest will probably feel unwelcomed looking at this small bed... we get kevin to "chop" away the desk (i.e. sacrificing one drawer space) to make way for a bigger bed... with this last minute change, we have to top up $700 for the rectification... but we rather get it done now than regret later :bangwall:
