Hi,

I am new to this forum and housing issue and Ineed some advise here.

We are looking for resale flats around our parents and there is this super hard to come by flat for resale at Petir Rd. The seller is asking for like $50k above evaluation...we have a little but not major issue with the price..

BUT...although the agent fed us another story, our parents already told us that the owner of that particular unit owe loanshark money! Its very obvious that they had repainted part of their walls to cover loanshark traces...

If you were in our shoes, will you still go ahead to purchase this unit? :bangwall:

Looking for good contractors? Click here for your request

Heard and read many stories of people buying resale units from ex-owners who owed loansharks money. Since you knew it now, why get yourself into possible future trouble and embarassment.

Thanks for the wake-up call, TYM. $50k above evaluation for a 20 yr old flat unit which is haunted by loanshark is simply not worth it. We've decided to ignore this unit and carry on with our search.

Yes, very true that it is super hard to find a unit that u like around Petir Road. I juz secure a unit at Petir Road after 2 years searching..

If you are not in urgent of buying, you maybe can try the Bi-monthly of the units @ Bukit Panjang that will release tomorrow.. Good Luck :good:
