gkbt 8 Report post Posted January 17, 2010 Is it inverter aircon? So, it's System 3 Inverter/Non-Inverter and System 1 Inverter/Non-Inverter? its actually all non inverter. Its quite logical, if you are not using the 2/3 of the aircon strength all the time, there is no need to get an inverter, plus the fact that an inverter technology parts are more expensive and harder to come by if there is an upgrade. I got the 18k btu for the hall because there was a special promo by daikin at S$600 if not I would have used a 20k btu for the entire flat as I do not use the aircon for the hall regularly but it will become a selling point 5 years down the road. cheers

Hi there, Glad to find this thread! We intend to get System 4 too, yesterday went to GC, the sales guy told us we have only 2 choices to choose. Which is Hitachi or Mitsubishi Inverter. No other brand have Sys 4 in this market. And he claims that we have to use 22k for our Living Hall, else it won't be cold. The price he quoted us was: Mitsubishi Starmex Inverter 4 Model: MXY4A28 / MSXYGA10VA x 4 Cappacity 28000btu (9k x 3, 22k x 1) Price $3780 Include installation & upgrade piping = $4300 Need to ask advice, is what the sales guy said is true? Cheers.
