vowsh 1 Report post Posted March 23, 2008 How do I go about ordering it? Is it possible to buy Kronotex laminates to DIY myself? Thanks in advance! If u DIY, no warranty. Better get Kronetex to laminate for you. Will be ex than supreme.
yokine9a 1 Report post Posted March 24, 2008 Goto their website, I think is www.kronotex.com.sg, and ring their sales number to place your order. The money you pay for the laminates includes labour work. I do not think they will want to reduce the pricing if you DIY. Also, do you have the necessary machinery to DIY? You need a machine to cut the laminates for corner and edge areas.Like what vowsh said, no warranty if you DIY.

BunBun 5 Report post Posted March 24, 2008 Supreme's cheaper than Kronotex actually. I know cos I compared the price & debated on whether to get kronotex or not(Yes, I was really impressed by their solid sales presentation of the kronotex sample then.) End up taking supreme as we'd do not want to pay too much. What we want is adequate coverage & meets basic requirements is already good enough.Kronotex's laminated flooring is more high end based on its performance & quality(Made in Germany) while Supreme's more like those mid end types based on the pricing & the fact that theirs is made in malaysia & china.. Their AC3 is cheaper than AC5 so like what Vowsh & the others say, it depends on series but also the grade too. It does not mean supreme or other brands are inferior as long as they can adequately meet your needs depending on what you really want. Budget? Quality? Warranty? To be really honest I don't really require the highest quality, it's basically for an office space and my lease is not very long term so I don't want to spent too much on something which I'll have to leave behind. So budget-wise the lower the better haha. Looks like Supreme is a better option for me. Which Supreme series did you get?

BunBun 5 Report post Posted March 24, 2008 thoa_rs, I got AC5 grade for my whole place except kitchen & balcony. AC3 is at most suited for areas like bedrooms with little or infrequent human traffic flow, making it less susceptible to any major damage in the long run based on my understanding with the sales people at Supreme. So if you intend to get for your office, you need to determine if your office is going to have high human traffic flow or not?AC5 is usually used in commercial spaces for this primary function. I suggest that you should seek the advice of the preferred laminate brand you have in mind so as to gain a better understanding of what you can get for your office area. yokine9a 1 Report post Posted March 25, 2008 If you are near to Toa Payoh, try this shop in Block 85C Lorong 2. Can't remember its unit #, but it is the only shop there that is specialised in laminate flooring. You can see some of the samples in front of their shop, not hard to find though. They carry a few brands, you will have a feel of their pricing, should be cheaper than Supreme. I have placed my order with Supreme before I saw this shop.Since it is a leased office unit, then no need to spend too much on flooring lah
