jon_g9 0 Report post Posted March 30, 2008 thanks...we feel quite lucky to be able to get such a regular layout. the wet kitchen area is quite small for cooking and laundry, i must admit. we'll just have to make do with it since we have decided to split the kitchen into 2 segments. at least now we can have an open concept and island which was what i always wanted. that's a consolation i supposeNo worries, just check the cement screed when it dries, try walking with bare foot Your floorplan's the best. jon_g9 0 Report post Posted April 2, 2008 hey... jon_g9 nice way to go with ur plc.. really like ur theme.. n detail picture annodation of its progress..but as i'm in maintenance field.. wld like to know whether u queries ur ID's abt any panel or lobang to access on any future water/gas/aircon pipes leaks that has been beautifully conceal.. its jus pityful to touch them in future.. thanks for your kind comments. i suppose most will agree it's difficult to find a balance between aesthetic and practicality. it's all about mitigating risks. the aircon trunking are not concealed inside the bedrooms while the aircons have been placed to minimise the distance of drainage piping. we also try not to scrimp on the insulation.the main worry i have is the risk of leakage from the toilet upstairs. that is beyond anybody's control and we'll just have to pray hard that nothing happens

We too hav similar toilet layouts. We wanted to conceal the pipes but our ID advise us against it. Apparently, my toilet drainage got choked soon after during our reno and we called HDB. So HDB called our neighbour just below us and had their plumber fixed the drainage by removing part of the pipe section and cleared the debris within. So it really depends on the neighbour upstairs. Anyway, your ceilings look great!
