Our Project In Clementi

Recommended Posts

No worries, just check the cement screed when it dries, try walking with bare foot !! Your floorplan's the best. All rectangular. your kitchen area looks small to me though.

time for lights...recommended from the ID

PLC - 28 pieces

florescent - 24 piceces

one fancy light for dining

normal "hamburger" lights for HHS, bedroom 3, bathrooms and wet kitchen

that's a lot of lights!!!

thanks...we feel quite lucky to be able to get such a regular layout. the wet kitchen area is quite small for cooking and laundry, i must admit. we'll just have to make do with it since we have decided to split the kitchen into 2 segments. at least now we can have an open concept and island which was what i always wanted. that's a consolation i suppose

yeah we're going for open concept and island, dining table next to island. it's more like 5 chairs since 1 side of the table will be against the island

yeah its meant for small bottles...the space's quite limited so we're considering whether to install a separate rack to store the bigger bottles

here's a close up look

:notti:

Hi jon

Your toilet getting nicer :notti:

The things used to cover the pipes are they wood?

thanks. it's called calcium silicate, not wood. some kind of plastering material to be covered by wall tiles eventually

this photo was taken before all the wall tiles were laid

thanks for your kind comments. i suppose most will agree it's difficult to find a balance between aesthetic and practicality. it's all about mitigating risks. the aircon trunking are not concealed inside the bedrooms while the aircons have been placed to minimise the distance of drainage piping. we also try not to scrimp on the insulation.

the main worry i have is the risk of leakage from the toilet upstairs. that is beyond anybody's control and we'll just have to pray hard that nothing happens

first coat of paint is up...one section of the wall is of a darker shade while rest of the house is some white. can't really remember the colour names...very poor memory for such things

colours appear lighter in the photos

Jon, Nice designs, esp your toilets. We too hav similar toilet layouts. We wanted to conceal the pipes but our ID advise us against it. Apparently, my toilet drainage got choked soon after during our reno and we called HDB. So HDB called our neighbour just below us and had their plumber fixed the drainage by removing part of the pipe section and cleared the debris within. So it really depends on the neighbour upstairs. Anyway, your ceilings look great!
