Yeah it should help. But this can only be done easily during the install stage. Once installed it will be difficult to individually wrap them. So plan ahead!

i tot your did some wrapping of the insulation before but decided against it cos there might be water trapped underneath the foil/plastic wrappings and cause more problems than help to protect it?

Yes i removed it but littledevil is talking about aluminium wrappings instead of plastic. If done properly, the aluminium should stick nicely to each insulation tube and not trap water. The problem with my plastic was that it spreads out like a water catchment net!

Today was supposed to meet the plumber to install all my toilet stuff. Met ID at my place about 3 plus and we waited and waited for the plumber to come only for him to call us about 430 to tell us he is still stuck at another place and cant make it :furious::furious::furious: Now have to take leave on monday specially to oversee him install all the items correctly...

Luckily I brought my camera there and still managed to capture some pics of my completed carpentry. I decided to take these pics from more unique angles this time :paint:

MBR Wardrobe

Bedroom doors - Saw some spare laminates the other day and got my ID to paste them on the bedroom doors. Now I dont have to go buy those designer doors :sport-smiley-004: The remaining area will be painted with lily white next wk.

MBR toilet - Laminates changed and the doors completed. Like this look better.

MBR TV Console

Guestroom wardrobe - They changed the door colours to the right one

Kitchen 45 degree area - The ikea lights are mounted under the top portion. Too bad the socket is not yet connected so cant try it out. Also changed the carcass to white.

the bathroom vanity looks so much better with this laminate

Yes! The original laminate was really bad. Think when the mirror, solid top and tap are up, the whole thing should look nicer.

ur reno turning our well!! very nice!

Thanks... Finally into the last 1 or 2 weeks. Only painting, solid top and remaining electricals left before handover. :dancingqueen:

Finally the basins, WC and other toilet stuff are installed... The electrician also came to install the dining light and change the remaining switches.

Kitchen Toilet - Baron basin and WC FOC from ID :good::good::good: Mirror & toilet roll holder from Ikea

As usual there are some hiccups here and there...

Hiccup 1: The plumber cracked 2 tiles (one in each toilet) and my ID will have to get someone to change those, then get the plumber to come again to fix the pipes there :furious:

Hiccup 2: We mounted the Ikea stave mirror and found that the further we stand from the mirror, the more "wavy" the reflection got. Seems like either we got a lemon or Ikea uses lousy thin mirrors that look good when u stand near, but starts to get wavy as u go further. What can I do? Bring it back to complain?

Can't really tell clearly if its wavy from the angle you took it at & I see spots in the pic, It might be cos its not a full length mirror + it has a frame . :dunno: So when mounted, the mirror won't be really flat against the wall, slightly slanted due to the hooks & frame?

Yup you cant see it on the pic. I couldnt capture the effect on picture but it is definitely not due to the slanted mounting. Its more like the mirror itself is not flat but a bit convex at places...

Yup the guy told me its a new panel from Isreal. Apparently the siren is built into the panel and no need for external siren.

Anyway you remember me from getzclub?
