But maybe you can post/PM an outline of what you're doing and I'll see if the packages can fit. You can see the packages on their website also... Basically one package is the main one with the living rm tiling, painting, wardrobe, kitchen cabinet etc. The other package will help only if u are hacking your kitchen and toilet tiles. I got free 20ft kitchen cabinet with first package and free aircon with the 2nd one. You can choose another 20ft kitchen cabinet for the 2nd package also. darrenelle 0 Report post Posted March 16, 2008 I believe u are at the 289 - 290++ area right? Those were my 3rd choice flats when I went for selection. I like the kitchen with 2 exits and the large study area. But only problem to me was too far from compasspoint.Anyway from your blog I think layout 1 is nice. Makes the house look spacious.Hi Hobbes, thanks! we are looking to do something like layout 1 but with living room at the balcony side.Everyone is everywhere, i am loving renotalk, but so confused.... still trying to get my bearing right in here. hobbes187 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2008 Hacking package cost me about 10K. It includes hacking both toilet walls and floor, kitchen walls and floor and replacement of all pipes to copper pipe. There're also things like labour to install heater, sink, WC etc. Plus I get a free mitsubishi starmex sys 3 aircon with the package.

Flooring is FOC. We top up another 330 for toilets and kitchen wall tiles. the contractor also did water proofing for us for required area.

Lucky you I tried to do the same but they refused to do it saying that my kitchen and toilets were retiled by their contractor prior to us taking the keys. But as you can see from the pics, the colours were ugly...So had to fork out $$$ to hack and retile the place...

hobbes187 0 Report post Posted March 29, 2008 (edited) Just an update, HDB has rectified the defects for us. Have also decided to start work on 30th April. Tmr will be going down to meet ID to view my 3D drawing. !! Have been busy looking around for furnitures recently and shortlisted the following:1) Serta Missouri queen (best deal I found was 2890 with frame, bed bench, mattress protector, 4 pillows and 2 sheeps. Anyone has a better price elsewhere?)2) Sofa + free replacement cover from Sofaalab (only 788 if we take delivery 5 months from order date! Very cheap cos it comes with extra covers too! 16 colors to choose from) Anyone bought from sofaalab before? Can see www.sofaalab.com and go to their showroom near IMM. The real thing in the showroom looks much better than the picture and the quality is definitely worth it for $788. !! How long does it usually take to see 3D drawing, selecting tiles and etc till the reno actual will start? Just an update, HDB has rectified the defects for us. hobbes187 0 Report post Posted March 29, 2008 It can be quite fast from signing to starting work but we are not in a rush. We have to see the drawing, get it endorsed by my feng shui master and then start work on a good day
