Have not got the set yet.. got an option to upgrade, most probably will upgrade too. :D

Mr. K said he will liase with them on the wiring and my installation cost is $80 leh.. :(

Most probably I will get a DVD player with upscale capabilities first and maybe a PS3. :) Will get a BR player once it is more cheaper and common.

Sorry, my mistake... the installation cost is also $80, not $70. :P

Get an Oppo DVD player... It has pretty good upscaling capability. If you get PS3, then probably won't need another BR player liao mah...

:)

baguana, ur living room very nice

Thanks Crystal15... I think the cove lighting makes the whole place more cosy and nice.

:P

The PS3 can play DVD and can do upscaling too...

Hi Softballer,

Thanks for the compliment. The renovation package is around $36k, excluding the electrical works etc. I've also added in certain requirements and items along the way, so it will likely burst that amount.

Thanks for the great info. Also do you know where to get cheap PS3?

Where to get the cheapest I'm not too sure. I got mine from Mustafa at $559. Standard package that comes with one wireless controller (without Dual Shock function). The Sony shops and bigger electronic stores are selling at $599. Perhaps you will be able to find a better deal from those neighbourhood shops that sells electronic gaming stuff.

Hi ebon1882 & claire_ch3,

Thanks for the compliments and sorry for the late reply. Both my hubby and I have really been busy with work lately. Any other free time was also dedicated to making our flat "livable". My hubby finally managed to squeeze out some time this evening and took some photos of our new place.

Anyway, my hubby and I finally moved into our new home on 2nd Apr 08. It was a crazy weekend where we were totally tired out by the whole shifting exercise. The unpacking that awaited us was even more challenging as we had a tough time deciding where to place what.

Fast forward one month... our home is now more or less "completed". We're only waiting for one more item... a rug which takes 2 months to deliver. Hopefully it'll come in next week as promised. Okay, time for the pictures...

You are one of the few brave ones that did away with a guest room. I guess you guys dont plan to have kids?

One thing I found it strange was, who showers in the common bathroom if its only the 2 of u?

I did my 3 room flat with the same idea, merged two rooms into 1 and now a spare room is sorely needed. Hahaha itchy backside i say.

I wondered if anyone did major reno while still living within the premise.
