Advice Needed On Quote For Hacking And New Tiles

Hi,

Just received a quote of the following

1. Hacking and disposal of existing floor finishes @ $1.80/sq ft

2. Dismantling and disposal of existing wardrobes, doors, door frames, existing aluminium fittings, existing

toilet bowl, basin other unwanted toilet fittings etc @ $1,050.00

3. Supply and laying of 600mm x 600mm Homogeneous Flooring for dining room @ $7.50/sq ft / PC Sum

$3.00/sq ft. Skirting is Lump Sum $200.00

4. Supply and laying of laminate timber flooring AC 5, 8mm tropical hardwood for bedroom @ $7.50/sq ft /

PC Sum $4.50/sq ft

5. Supply and laying of dry walls including standard quality insulation rock wool approved by BCA for New

Layout Apartment including plastering smooth of both sides @ $6.00 / sq ft

Would appreciate it if you can advice if the figures above is normal (seems abit high to me). Please let me know what the average price for hacking, 600X600 homogenoeous tiles etc is like.

bargain with yr contractor to give $1050 for No. 1 and 2 work

For supply and lay homo tiles, it should be only about $6.50/sq ft. What is "PC Sum $3.00/sq ft"?

And ask the contractor what is the max price range you can select for the tiles?

For my contractor, there is NO price range..... i can choose the most expensive ones if i want........

But of course dun expect all contractors to be so nice as mine........

For laminated floor, it also shouldnt be $7.50/sq ft.... too expensive liao.......
