applefreak 1 Report post Posted March 1, 2008 why don't you go for contractor instead since you've got an idea how you want your home to look like?
softballer 0 Report post Posted March 1, 2008 why don't you go for contractor instead since you've got an idea how you want your home to look like? right now.. i meeting up with different groups of people.. got IDs and contractors (recommended by frens and colleagues).. big headaches.. all supposed to be tried and tested.. quotes differs by 1k+.. dunno what should my criteria be eventually.. Price will be a deciding factor.. worksmanship also.. frenliness of contractors.. anything else i shld take note of??
BunBun 5 Report post Posted March 2, 2008 Hey softballer, price is the main factor in most quotes but how comfortable are you with the contractor/ID to do your home. What's important is to check on whether contractor/ID is reliable or not first despite recommendation from friends/relatives or even colleagues. And then, sometimes there are hidden charges that you'd might not be aware so you got to be prepared to set aside a sum in case exceed budget. Other than that, I can't think of what else to add on? applefreak 1 Report post Posted March 2, 2008 why don't you share your quote here?maybe we can help see if anything is missed outcoz honest contractors will actually point out what you have missed out so that there's no hidden cost
