What to look out for when choosing an ID/Contractor etc etc...Any advice would help! Thanks in advance!these factors are headache: need to chose between some of it1) Cost2) getting along well with ID/contractor3) Worksmanshipeg. if u found someone good in point 2 and 3, but point 1 is high, u may think twiceeg. if u found someone good in point 1, ie cheapest quote, point 3 may pull your decision downits not easy to find someone with 1+2+3its advisable u get many quotes to compare. i have some friends who got 20over quotes to compare. some get abt 10quotes. getting quotes is tiringthe rest of the advice, some other forum members will help u. Thanks in advance!hi neighbour, welcome. finally found someone in 3-room. which block are you in?my advise to you is to start early. give yourself lots of time so that you will not be rushed into decisions. get plently of quotes. it's easy nowadays with email. then slowly go thru their quotes. meet as many IDs/contractors as your time permit. it's a long and tedious journey. but you will feel a sense of achievement after everything is completed. !! Cindy-Monkeybone 1 Report post Posted March 1, 2008 I just got my HLE and AHG today... wonder how much longer for the keysss..........Call up HDB to pester them to give u a key collection date which is normally within 1 to 2 weeks. If they refuse, tell them u have to go oversea and hope to get the keys before u leave SG.
BunBun 5 Report post Posted March 1, 2008 Hmm if i remember right, you'd may need to wait at least a week after getting your AHG that is. 'Cos after AHG is credited into the account, it takes time to prepare all the necessary paperwork for the appointment date. It was like this for me also but the wait for the notification really took so long that I literally was looking for letters in the mailbox everyday.I only found out abt my notification online as the mail reaches you later at a date before the key collection appointment. I think you'd should check online at the HDB site where you'd can log in with your singpass better. Or at least check with the officer in charge
