Hi Crazycar!!

Just to check with you, did u have any issues with the height of the rain shower? We measured the length from the hdb given tap/mixer to the beam and it was abt 1.25m, but most of the rain showers we saw were abt 1.3m and above! how did u manage to install the rain shower in the MBR? From the pics, i can see that u even have space in between the beam and the shower head! If u dont mind saying where u got it fr and whats the height fr tap/mixer to showerhead? thanks!!!!

!! Angel

hi angel,

u r correct, we have to buy one where the height from the mixer to the shower head must not exceed about 1.2 m. ours is about 1.1 m. there are actually quite a no. of places selling rain shower that can fit into our bathroom. i've seen them at poh joo, hoe kee, royal fanco etc. we bought ours at royal fanco. can't remember how much but i think it's about $400.

our reno is coming to a close and we have to face hiccup finally. thought it will be a smooth process. hai..... :bangwall:

realised that the mirror that we installed above the shoes cabinet had a small chip at the edge of the mirror. not noticeable when view from a distant. but still feel a bit sad as the mirror is new and supposed to be perfect! :( reported to my ID immediately. after discussing with the mirror supplier, they offered to minus off about 20% from the cost of the mirror as re-doing the mirror will involve a lot of work. after some consideration, we decided to just accept the discount.

also realised that our bomb shelter feature wall has some scratches on one of the mirror too. this is too obvious and we want the ID to replace this piece definitely. so handover may be delay by 1-2 days.

mirror ah mirror..... why are you giving us so much problem. :help:

Finally our bomb shelter mirror is up. (Still abit dirty though. :P)

CIMG0566A.jpg

We have also installed curtains/binds for the whole house.

Day and night curtains at the living room. It's a pity that we have only a small small windows. :(

CIMG0567A.jpg

Roller binds for the rest of the rooms.

CIMG0568A.jpg

Also took a picture of from our bedroom windows. No sea view, no sky view but at least there's garden view. :yamseng:

CIMG0569A.jpg

So finally, after some minor hiccups, our new home is finally ready. Expect to have some minor touch-up and we are ready for handover this week. :dancingqueen:

yeah! yeah! yeah! but before moving, a lot of hard work... cleaning, shifting stuff etc. :)

It's nice. Like your bedframe from Lush.

Is African Black laminate the darkest? Are there darker laminate to choose?

Hi,

African Black is one of the darkest. If I remember correctly, there one that is close to black. But I think it will be too dark for flooring. :help:

This weekend is a burn big big hole in pocket weekend. Finally got most of of our electrical stuff. Some of the stuff that we bought....

Electrolux EWF1084 Front Load Washer. Supposing an exclusive model for Harvey Norman. But bought it at this friendly neighbourhood shop in Bukit Merah.

Washer.jpg

Electrolux EDC67150W Dryer. My WTB favorite. It's her dream to have a condenser dryer. :help:

Dryer.jpg

Sharp LC-42A83M LCD TV. Finally, I can watch football on a big screen. :help:

TV.jpg

Mitsubishi MR-S46M Fridge. It was love at first sight. Despite other recommendations, still chose to buy this. :dribble:

si mi is condense dryer? what the difference from normal dryer huh?

the roller blind you got from ikea?

ha ha... i also dunno. i only know there are 2 type, air-vented and condenser. Condenser type is supposed to be better in terms of energy efficiency. Most models are retailing at over $1000++. Then saw this new model and it's selling at below $1000. :help:

Our roller blinds are from Jimmy Textiles. :dribble:
