if you really worried, then transfer your files to a external HDD

do a clean reload of the OS, should be safer liao

if you really really really worried, go to disk utility under applications

find the one that overwrite your HD 37 times one

sure your files won't leak liao

but it'll take about a day to run :bangwall::)

me sent my one to the AMK one, no problem lah

we not celebrity mah :yamseng:

actually macbook and macbook pro had heat problems coz of the heat sink location

the vent for heat dissipation is in between the keyboard and the screen

i know that the problem can be alleviated to a certain degree after changing the motherboard, but the heat problem will still be there

so the thing is if the heat problem wasn't there until recently

or after you updated your software

then better to send it in

did you buy applecare?

off-topic:

applecare (for the laptop/desktop) is a must even though it seem ridiculously expensive (without discounts).

i have always utilize it to the max for my ibook and imac. hopefully, it won't be needed on my macbook pro (although i seriously doubt it). the only occasions where it didn't pay off were for the ipods.
