leen 2 Report post Posted March 14, 2008 You will need to transformer to get it to work or else it will blow. ya, keltong is right. and the transformer cost somewhere around $200. its better to buy from here as when the total cost of the item + transformer + shipping will eat away whatever savings you have.i had missed the mayer sales coz thinking of buying a kitchenaid mixer also. this mixer is better as its more sturdy and lasting. those mixers in the mkt either cannot mix well or cannot mix high speed for too long as it will kaput.and i have been making cakes and so thought of getting one but the price is steep. there are some from taiwan as well. better than kitchenaid and the price is about the same also. MLR 0 Report post Posted April 15, 2008 Hi lingie, U can check if they hv dual voltage model available. We always get dual voltage appliances whenever possible. Hi all, my advise is to check for consumption when u buy washer/dryer/frdige. Cause these appliances are used frequently, price of items is a one time payment, where the electrical bill is every mth. Some of the europe brand consumption is pretty high, so think long run. Had a Maytag fridge that cost $20-30 more each mth, realise dat only when we change to a Mitsubishi fridge, and the Mit fridge is a bigger capacity.Jus my 2 cents worth... SmartFool 0 Report post Posted April 17, 2008 Applefreak: great choices. me considering Bosch washer and fisher/paykel dryer. my auntie told me the FnP dryer is very good and lasts.Softballer:Now at mayer they have some promotion for the Indesit dryer and washer combo 1.3kwas initially abit tempted but i am afraid of Mayer's after-sales service and Indesit is the supposedly cheaper brand of Ariston
